In my experience (talking to others) there is no such thing as a budget cordless vacuum that actually is effective in cleaning a car interior.

    Well OP didn't provide us with an actual budget but I know V8 do a good job of cleaning cars.

    You kinda need to hunt around for it, sometimes get lucky on sat mornings at my local Bunnings where they discount some returns or slow move stuff in tools section. Usually by the time anyone posts it to ozbargain it’s gone.
    
    I had decent performance from 3rd party batteries.

An extension cord is cheaper & the vac will suc better than battery models
