Easy Set up Wireless Battery Powered Security Cameras That Will Work with a Better AC/Poe Setup in a Few Months

Hi,

So basically I really want to get 2 to 4 cameras setup outside by the end of the day. Primarily for break-in deterrent and detection but also deliveries and pests.

I realise battery cameras have their limitations - particularly that they often start recording after the event. Ideally, they will be compatible with a powered all ways on setup that I add in a few months.

Ease of setup is important.

Option to check from phone and get timely alerts important.

Subscription okay - but not if it's a complete ripoff.

Cloud okay, or not.

Thanks for any ideas.

I have Arlo Pro 5 plus their solar panel. Unless your cam gets triggered all the time, the battery gets top up to 100% most of the time. I use this mount: https://www.amazon.com.au/Wasserstein-Universal-Gutter-Compa…

  Cheers. Having had a bit of a read, there is a lot to like. Although, surprised they don't have any outdoor powered continuous recording cameras. That's ultimately what I would like to add a few of in a few months and then use the battery powered ones in a supportive role.

My main competitor at the moment is probably tp-link tapo c420s4. 4 cameras plus hub for $500.

Which has the advantage of being able to record to sd card on the included hub. As well as the advantage of many different wired options down the track.

However I assume (possibly incorrectly) that it may be more tricky with camera placement owing to the hub. Whereas the arlo will connect directly to my meshed routers.
