  • nice. maybe best camera of 2023

    • It possibly is! I have the 1st a7C and absolutely love it. I use it for youtube, maybe this camera is a bit overkill lol
I wonder if it'll go down further for black friday?

  • Why can’t Canon’s drop in price like these in the high 2k range. Seriously annoying.

  • +1

Decent price! I bought an A7Cii recently to replace my A7ii, incredibly capable camera. Fantastic photos so far and the form factor means I can take it out way more often than I normally would.

    • Definitely a huge upgrade from the a7ii

K…I have getting more gears syndrome now. I already have A7R IV and Fuji T5….

    • I've also pondered getting the a7cii… Currently XT5 user as well.
What's attracting you to the a7cii? For me it's probably full frame and AF.

      • +1

Well, it is full frame and it is small size as X-T5. I'm too lazy to lugging around A7RIV so I kept bringing X-T5 to everywhere. I still have all those lens from Sony so I guess it would be worth it to get A7CII. Usually, the camera that goes with you more = more photos.

        • Agreed with that! I really enjoy the fujicrons for that reason but the new LM 1.4 lenses are brilliant too. Do you have any opinions on the available glass for sony and how that compares to native fuji? I'm mostly looking at size and IQ - 35-50mm FF eqv. Thanks

          • +1

@Emblex: If size matters, then you might consider 24mm 1.4 or 35mm 1.8. those two lenses are very compact and light. For 50mm, you can get that 50mm 2.5 G. For 85, you can get 85mm 1.8. I think at those aperture and focal, it should cover majority of your needs. If you do go lower aperture, it just so damn heavy and I get tired lugging them around on my neck/back. Especially, when you travel during summer.

            • @Jetkuma: Thanks a lot. I'll take a look. Feels. Lugging around heavy gear is hard work in the heat!

9% via Cashrewards but capped at $250 though.

    • Thanks mate! Will update

        • Still showing as 8 and 9% for me! Rate ends 26th Oct

    • Reduced price is originally from digidirect

      • +1

NVM, I'm an idiot. I thought the price match was with DigiDirect, not Sony :(

  • How long do they usually take to reply to a price match request? Sent one this morning for the a6700

    • +1

I did an online chat with an agent, requesting a price match.
They then asked me to manually submit a price match request on the product page, then they processed it within a few minutes while I was chatting to them.

      • they're telling me to submit the form then wait 24-48hrs, rip if I don't get it in time

edit: nvm I messaged via contact, looks like I'm meant to press message icon from the product page to get to the price match team

  • I imagine can price match on Sony website at 2956.59 + 10% off code for new customers?

    • I thought so, but when I tried it didn't work. Turns out, the 10% welcome code does NOT work for the new a7C ii

  • Good deal. Got JB Hifi to price match then I used ultimate gift cards from the recent 15% off deal, worked out to be $2513.10.
