  • doesn't work, once you stop using it, stretch marks all come back

    • Yeh doesn't work it more of a placebo effect and any results is from the rubbing of the scars which vaseline can be used.

Had a similar issue with alcohol, once I stopped using it I became sober

  • "illegal" LOLLLOLLLOLLLLL

Why email? Does the label on yours mention "Aspen Pharmacare" (refer the pdf you linked)?

  • Bought it when first came out a few years ago (after seeing a segment on Today's Tonight). But stretch marks are still there after a few bottles and stopped using it. The oil smells nice though so used the left over for my dog.

    • If anything, it leaves a temporary tan on your body so that the scars blend with your skin.. it all goes away when you stop using this crap.

  • So what's good for stretch marks? lol

    • stretch marks are the war wounds of the lifters; live with it

Absolute waste of money, as someone who has access to every conceivable evidenced based medical journal and medical database, there's not a single bit of evidence mentioning this oil. I looked into it after receiving a small sample in my letterbox. The manufacturers are quite happy to claim there's no research that mineral oil is harmful, but also seem quite happy to ignore the fact that there's no evidenced research actually showing their product works.

Go buy yourself a nice smelling moisturiser from the supermarket and massage your scars regularly, the only real other option is going to see a plastic surgeon (who can offer more than just surgery by the way!).

If this stuff really worked, it would be used in hospitals for burns patients or recommended by plastic surgeons. It isn't.

    • Totally agree.

It is mineral oil based…yep comes from the same stuff as your engine oil. It's breakthrough ingredient 'PurCellin' is basically the same as WD-40. It is full of artificial colours and scents. Everything a dermatologist would say to avoid!!

    • I'm guessing you are correct about this as a plastic surgeon told me they only suggest massaging with moisturiser.
