Some of the differences are the added number 2 and higher price

    • +2

does it still include the feature where it develops problems with the scrolling wheel?

      • x2

    • It has the HERO 2 chip which tells the computer x=2 y=3, with style.

    • I skipped the SL1 because its micro USB and I poached those into extinction in my household.

Ill take this price as a win for new tech and being in the market to replace defective old mouse.

theres some other improvements/side provements but all around its a solid wireless mouse compared to others

      • +5

A win… for logitech profits? It's the same thing as the GPX1 for $100 more. Idk how they've managed to do essentially nothing to the product over 4 years and still get profits.

        • depends what sensor and switches you want, now there's more options…no ones making you buy it

i needed new mouse and CCC alert went off, so i buy. simple

  • How similar is the size of this compared to the G703?. wouldn't mind the upgrade but I'm concerned how small the superlight would be with my large hands I usually fingertip the G703

Have a Razer viper ultimate and found that too small.

  • You can try price match on there website, it comes with FREE G840 Desk Mat.

    • There online chat is a joke. Good luck to anyone else attempting this

  • Any reason to be getting these over the 4000hz mice on aliexpress?

They seem to be superior to these in every metric except maybe software?

Any reason to be getting these over the 4000hz mice on aliexpress?
      like what?

build quality and sensor wouldn't compare, especially if you're comparing this mouse to a $30 mouse. Is this mouse worth $200? Absolutely not, but is it worth it over a chinese copycat? 100%

      • +3

Definitely not the case. A well-implemented 3395 4k compatible sensor competes with what logitech and razer offers. Zaopin Z1 pro and VGN dragonfly MOBA are top competitors at around 80-100aud. Don't spend $230 for the sensor… Arguably, if you specifically want optical switches or a different click implementation, choose that but for people who genuinely don't care - you cannot go wrong with the huano blue shell pink dots in z1 pro and f1 moba.
IMO if you like the shape, just get the old superlight on sale and deal with micro usb charging.

        • You can just get a $20 wireless charging puck and then who cares about micro USB.

Even before I got mine I didn't charge it for weeks with daily use for work.

You are absolutely correct that Logitech are robbing customers blind with this SL1 remake.

And now ultralight mice designs are common enough competitors are gonna destroy their market share

This guy usually does a better job of copying past testing efforts on this sort of thing… his testing here doesn't really cover the key benefit despite showing latency differences and increased polling information as you up the DPI.

It's an enhancement of tracking aim rather than flick speed or turns, so that any small adjustments as you track are matched. It also benefits as you move to higher display refresh rates to ensure minimal latency between the latest mouse information and the upcoming frame.

He did the bare minimum, but then offered almost no insight before making a definitive call that you're not promoting as gospel.

Battle(non)Sense did a much better job on this 2 years ago, but has since had to stop making content because he wasn't earning a sustainable income.

Costs as much as a quarter electricity bill…..

Cannot justify that price to go pointy pointy clicky clicky.

Sacrifice no AC and buy mouse for super sweaty gaming

    VGN MOBA: https://ausmodshop.com/collections/vgn-gaming-mice/products/…
Lighter, 4K polling rate. Mostly used for FPS comps

    • Dongle purchased separately to use the polling rate /wireless (says on website)

not bad tho, but used my discounted amazon GCs

  • Some days I think they say they updated the chip or sensor and they might not have done anything other than changing the package and saying its a new product.

But I might be wrong 🤔

    2000hz = 0.0005 seconds
    4000hz = 0.00025 seconds

This is rate the mouse updates its position, you physically wont see a difference…

Human reaction time is 0.2 seconds, if you want a better kill score, dont waste money on a mouse over 1000hz. The trick is you wont get better, unless you play 10 hrs a day and work on your reaction times.

Ordered today… Came with a superlight 1 not 2 have to refund it..

  • I know Finalmouse is even more overpriced but still ought to say it - I 'only' paid ~ 320 aud for my ulx shipped, and considering the resell markup (even with used copies) of the ulx vs the gpx - this here is a laughably bad buy. And as much FM is a questionable company at best, the generational improvement from the last legend to the ulx is still far greater than anything logitech have done from the gpx to the gpx2.

    • When do you expect to receive it? Keen to hear impressions (mouse weeb here!)

      • +1

Alas, my confirmation no. placed me early but not that early - its 223XXXX while the order numbers ranged from 218XXXX to 24XXXXX I believe.

I give it two weeks before I get mine - finalboy said that by 17th nov all 20k wil be shipped so I should get mine well before that.

        • Cool!
And looking at EloShapes, is the ULX shape pretty similar to the Razer Viper V2?

          • @TyronesCheesyEggs: I actually never tried the FM shape before, but according to rtings mouse comparison and others feedbacks, the medium sized ulx (which is the first batch I bought) should be near identical to RVMSE, and V2 should be similiar to the large sized ulx.

Im using the RVMSE now, so will be interesting to see how different it is - Ive been trying but have yet to find my end game, maybe the ulx will do it for me, hopefully, if QC doesnt go awry.

      • What Im trying say is this:

        • ULX fetch a high resale value that its easy to get your money back. Its also historically at this price.

        • On the other hand, GPX2 is stupidly expensive compared to GPX or GPW. You are going to lose a lot of money in resale if this doesn’t suit your grip

        • For the same pricetag as last gen, ULX offers a completely new build, significant weight reduction and sensor upgrades

        • On the other hand, GPX2 offers little update, the polling rate is now 2khz and you finally get type c port and thats it

        • fair points, ill be buying the ulx L when situation is resolved with there manufacturering woes to trial it

had the starlight but sold cuz didnt like its feel and had many weird issues final never fixed,
or took too long to look into. if finalmouse had the support/update frequency like wooting id be all hands on deck.

resale was good but poor next person i sold it too has the problem now, maybe its sitting in a glass case /shrug

  • Mouse received after 15hours (thanks prime!)

Coming from Zowie ec1-B, this GPX2 is super light, funny how no cable and 30g less can change the feel. Understand why people love the light mouses now

The clicks on these switches are much higher pitched then i expected. Not big deal but worth noting

DON'T download the ghub bloatware for mouse control they have memory controller software on download page which updates the mouses info so no background apps required (like wootings Wootility app)

the thumb buttons are much smaller then i expected, work wonderful tho

the "wireless" actually needs to be within 20cm of the mouse for proper polling rate. I was thinking chuck the dongle in back of pc or on front i/o, but you'll need to run the provided usba to usbc cable from pc to 20cm infront of mousepad "for best lightspeed" hz… will be trialing with and without the receiver that close cuz i like clutter free desk, F cables

ive removed the bottom cutout/storage door on mouse for 1-2g less weight

build quality is up to Logitech standards, i used the mx518 way back and was my favorite mouse for years, happy to be back into logi world

hope this helps someone in the future. after a 2 hour session last night, happily enjoying it

    • Thanks please report back in a few months
