I am transferring out a mobile number under my BOOST account to my adult daughter. I know I need a new BOOST starter sim to activate the transferred number. Once activated my daughter will most likely port out of BOOST. Can she use a $2 BOOST starter sim to hold the transferred number for 24-48 hours before porting out?

Yeah, was in a hurry and not thinking.
I did that once and not one responded from Boost - they are A*****E and request me to go to a Telstra shop and the Telstra shop send me back to Boost because they cannot do the transfer. In the end I went to Optus shop with a discounted prepaid sim to transfer directly.
I agree. Online only Telcos offer limited services. Don't expect complicated task.
If a $2 one works, a profited one with initial recharge value should work as well and can be used for $28 days. No point wasting $2.
