Unsure if this brand makes good brake pads, they seem to be affiliated with bendix, so that’s a good start.
Haven’t seen a two for one sale on bendix pads in a while. Feel free to comment on recommendations for brake pad brands and stockists!

Can this be used with the recent teslas deals?
This deal will "stop" the nation.
I replaced my brakes with this brand a few weeks ago, I've been noticing that if I drive for more than 10mins, there is a strong burnt rubber smell coming off the break pads (nothing is hot to touch or smoking). Does anyone know if this is normal? Is it part of the wearing in period?
Could the rotors be warped and rubbing in a spot?
I might check that. That would cause it to heat up though?
I'm no mechanic but I'd assume uneven wear/braking would cause more than just a little heat. You might also be damaging those new pads. Any excessive or noticeable vibration/noises under braking since fitting them? If not, your rotors should be fine.
@WasBargain: No vibrations at all, car brakes without any issues.
@Lizard Spock: Yeah, you should be fine then. Probably just the pads bedding like mentioned below! 😉
@WasBargain: I'll give it a few more weeks and see what happens. Work is only 5mins drive so I'm not noticing everyday, unless I drive more than 10mins then it smells.
The Brakes will heat up under normal driving that's fine. It could be the glide pins did you clean and grease them? does the hand brake feels okay?. Bendix say to do a few hard stops when you install new pads top wear them in.
@aussieprepper: I did add extra silicone grease to the glide pins. I did some hard brakes with the first test drive (not very hard though). Hand brake feels fine too.
Maybe brake fluid leaking, getting onto hot rotor or something?
I'll have a look at the reservoir and see if it's depleting
"affiliated with bendix"
Last time I bought pads i contemplated calibre but could not determine if made in Australia. Coupled with iffy reviews I'll stick with bendix
.
If you didnt replace the rotors it is probably the brake pads just bedding in
No I didn't replace the rotor. I hope it just the brake pads bedding in. Thank you for your reply. (I assume you were replying to my comment above) 😊
If you didnt replace the rotors
Do you change rotors every time you change the pads?
You generally should either replace the rotor or get it machined flat. Maximises the brake pads and makes sure they have the most amount of contact to help with braking.
Just to understand, so how often I need to change pads and rotor?
Regarding machining I disagree with that because you save little money (maybe not at all) without considering mechanic time and fees (or diy) also considering that brand new rotors are very cheap.
@billadm: I'm no expert, but I needed to change my rear pads as they were only about 2-3mm thick. What alerted me to the fact they needed changing was one set was making a squeaking noise (it's a safety clip that rubs on the rotor that tells you that you need to replace your brakes). The rotors need replacing when they start to get quite thin (I assume).
Bendix have a few tiers of brake pads. These used to be in the 'stink' tier. Material was.too hard, meaning it was squeeky and kills the rotors. Based on 3 years ago.
I was thinking same… The hard ones will also chew through your rotors… So not really worth it
Sparesbox have brakes parts on sale and the Bendix General CTs are around the same price depending on the car you have.
anyone miss those cheap <$10-15 ProSelect ceramic or Semi-metalic brake pads from repco ?
i just get repco euro for my bmw …. don’t make the wheels black from dust and they stop the car.
and ceramic in the compound …$70 for a front set.
These will sell like hot brakes.
