Entertainment App Vouchers for Ice Creams (Gelatissimo, Ben & Jerry’s)

Hi all, I’m in WA and have recently found a hack to best use Entertainment app voucher for the titular 2 ice cream locations, might be especially more useful for you eastern state dwellers since there’s a lot more of sites over there so you don’t have to travel too far (only 1 Gelatissimo and 3 Ben Jerry scoop shops in WA). Especially now going into the warmer weather, ice creams are welcome. May not be for everyone since it can get tedious, but I’m sure most of you frugalfreaks peeps are accustomed to it.

Gelatissimo:
The voucher is for BOGOF if 1,2,3 scoops are purchased. Prices are: 1 Scoop $6.30, 2 scoops $8.30, 3 scoops $10. So obviously, 3 scoops is best value, and apparently is equivalent to 500ml, since that’s what you get (3 scoops) on their 500ml take home pack, and that costs $19 on their pricelist.
So if you can afford to bring your own containers, ask for the 3 scoops and let them pack it inside your own containers that you brought. I actually invested in buying my own 500ml ice cream takeaway container (ones that are suitable for hot/cold) for easy measuring.
When you’re there, ask them to fill it up all the way if possible since they are 500ml (I’ve been lucky so far they just take my word for it and fill it to the brim), or if you bring a non standard takeaway container then you’ll just have to trust them with their 3 scoop size grabs…
Lastly, scan your Gelatissimo app barcode to get 10% back in points.
Net price: $10 for 2x 500ml (3 scoops) and $1 back in points for every voucher.

Ben&Jerry’s:
2 different vouchers, one is for double scoop BOGOF ($10.80) or pint size BOGOF ($13.95). I want to emphasize on the Pint voucher.
Unlike the Gelatissimo method, they have their own pint size take home tub so less hassle. I take advantage of the one’s NOT on supermarket shelves (mainly Coffee Buzz and Chunky Monkey, and they are Gluten Free too which is my preference). IMHO their Coffee Buzz is one of the best tasting coffee i/c around, especially if you like strong coffee. Chunky Monkey is Banana with choc chips which is great for the kids (and adult kids).
Here, the hassle is with creating the Ben&Jerry’s Insider Scoop account to benefit from the referral program and actually keeping track of it. To make new account you need a unique mobile number (which is easily attained if you’re already on the profitable Boost Mobile SIMs bandwagon) and a new email each time.
Every referral earns 500pts (worth $5) for both referrer and referee, each.
Trick is to have 1 main account (can be created using others’ referral code from OzB’s pool, and when you create each new accounts, make sure you input your main’s referral code. That way both your main and your subsequent account will net 500 each just for joining.
Furthermore, with each new account’s first purchase, they grant that account additional 500pts.
So if you bought a pint and quoting your new account’s mobile number as you’re paying in store, you’ll get (500pts joining bonus) + (500pts first purchase bonus) and (140pts 10% back in points, similar to Gelatissimo’s program) totalling 1140pts (~$11.40) redeemable toward your next order.

Just keep track of your unique mobile numbers used to create new accounts, that’s all you need to login (and the passwords ofcourse).
Net price: $13.95 for 2 pints (473ml), $11.40 in points for every voucher.
(And ofcourse you can use the double scoop vouchers too for similar outcome)

These 2 franchises might not be for everyone but if you like their products, and have access to Entertainment app, this is the way to go 😉. Hope this helps someone 🍦🍨🍧

Note: I previously bought 30x of the $0.99 deal back in EoFY and has been trying to maximize usage, personally it has been a massive saving for me. Especially ice cream products you can store in freezer for a long time so that works well to redeem it within the vouchers’ validity period. I even had to buy a new chest freezer to accommodate my hauls… I do try to buy it in the mid weekdays to avoid jamming up other customers when they’re busy.
