Hey, I suspect my local HJ might be different from others.
When HJ had the $1 large frozen drinks, my local HJ did not sell them at $1 but had a piece of paper taped near the registers saying "Frozen Drinks $2."
When I asked why every other HJ was selling them for $1 but they were $2 at this store, I was told that it was a "management decision." And it's not the only time they have done things like this.
Is this normal? Or is there something wrong with my local HJ? Can they legally do this?
I have taken note that my local HJ does not give out the survey on their receipts. My local HJ does not give ANY receipts unless asked and when you ask they print off a small receipt with no survey invitation on it.
I'm just wondering if this is normal and if there is anyway to get a survey code?
Not sure why you think this is "illegal". It's likely a franchise that chooses to do some things differently. Large frozen drinks are $2 on the app in Sydney CBD too. So probably normal.
You can write a complaint to HJ corporate if you really really want to and it bothers you this much, to find out if they approve of this or not.
McDonalds has different pricing across different stores for different products too. It's not unusual for franchises. Depends on many factors from running costs to greed.
