Can I Book a Luxury Escapes Package through Their International Site?

I'm going to be in Bangkok in Feburary and the package I want gets like 1000 velocity bonus points but if I book by changing my location to Thailand you get 29,890 KrisFlyer miles which is significantly better. Will they cancel my booking by doing this?

If I change my location to Indonesia it says Earn 12,900,000 KrisFlyer miles but I think that's pushing it.

Ended up booking the one with the 12,900,000 KrisFlyer miles, live chat and email said I would be receiving the amount shown on the website - obviously still not expecting it though but just want to see how it plays out as I was booking the hotel anyway.

    Are the KrisFlyer points are the same value in each country? The amount of bonus points seems to be (very roughly) relative to the exchange rates at the local currency unit?

      Maybe this is it. I double checked on live chat and email and they said "The amount of Kris Flyer points stated on the booking is how much you will earn."

    Had a cross-check of different region prices for same packages and they're all within the same currency exchange rate so doubt there's a benefit in doing so. There shouldn't be an issue if booking is all confirmed anyway though.

    Isn't krisfLyer accrual tied to USD value?

    The number of KrisFlyer miles you can earn on your purchase in your local currency on Eligible Deals are equivalent to 1 KrisFlyer mile per 1 USD for the package price in USD as listed on our US website

    There are also other caps based on country of residence not just currency of purchase.

    To be honest even the 29,890 Krisflyer points seems high. If selling the points that's worth $300 - $400 . Seems highly unlikely LE would be awarding that many points for a hotel package unless you're spending $10,000s.

      I asked them to confirm the actual amount via email and they said overnight…

      "Yes that is correct you should receive 12,900,000 KrisFlyer miles."

          Up to 30 days. I still don't think there is any chance I'll be getting this amount though, but I'll push for a little more than I'm supposed to lol
