After Finding Vitacost from OzBargain I thought I should share a recent Bargain that I got, In Fact 2!. After calling up customs and asking if this particular product would be shipped on not I was told, there shouldn't be an issue if it is readily available in Australian stores.

And it works!

    i can attest to this as well. Got it for $44. Delivery took almost a month though. The reason why this is a bargain is due to an error with the application of shipping costs - given its 4lbs it should be something like 30 bucks not 3.
    Does anyone know if this error applies to any whey powder as well?
    PS: technically this is a pricing error; shouild this be reflected in title?

      It looks like they've entered it into their system incorrectly. It has a count of 4 lbs but weight of 1.08 lb which is what the shipping is calculated off. Grab it before they fix it, I say!

    Have you had customs confiscate your protein from vitacost? as I said earlier, mine has gone missing, and have not had any letters from customs.

    It contains lecithin, isn't that supposed to be prohibited?
    Just because some people receive theirs doesn't mean everyone else will.

    It's been a month since I ordered from Vitacost and I'm yet to see the protein I ordered come in the mail. Purchase with caution from these guys as customs might confiscate it.

    I've only ordered 2lb tubs or less, but everything has arrived. I've heard much better success stories with 2lb than with 4lb.

    Took me a couple weeks to receive a 2lb whey, I have ordered from BB.com a quite big order (7.2kg) which landed in oz on 21/9 and still no correspondence…I want my protein!!!

    received mine the other day. I've bought protein from bb.com before and had the customs pamphlets/re-taped box after inspection, but don't think they even opened this one. definitely a bargain.

          Can you tell me how did you get this delivery break-down? I tried clicking on the tracking number in Vitacost "Open and Recently Shipped Orders" page, it just opens the same page again (using Firefox) or just opens a blank page (using IE)

          no worries. keep us updated if you can just so i know if mine got through by chance. from what i read before on the customs website, i didn't see any reason for casein to be held back.
          but i also know customs is inconsistent with things like this.

    Well I just received my elite protein.
    I ordered 2x4lbs of it. One cookies and cream and one vanilla. It has come from Germany, and customs didn't even open my box.
    Total cost $89.68

    Man that is awesome deal - we usually buy and sell from local importer and they can't even meet that price.Just not sure if it is worth the time waiting and possibly dealing with customs.
