What's Going on with Giftz.com.au ?

I've been unable to login to my Giftz account lately (incorrect email/pwd despite me not changing anything). My pwd manager has a username saved but they now seem to only accept email / pwd. Password reset sends nothing to the email account I signed up with.

Been trying to contact support all week, phone hangs up immediately and their web form is broken. Starting to get a bit worried as I have a $1.1k ebay voucher that is inaccessible, has anyone else heard of or had having problems with them?

    • Pretty sure the owner of Giftz is the issuer of Ultimate Gift Card. If it collapses, all the cards sold are no longer safe.

    • you guys really need to take a look at your 24 hour purchase limit timer.
      I get that there is a $2500 per day limit, except this is applied neither via a calander day nor a rolling 24 hour day.

  • I am also having problems with my giftz order, I have paid for an order but have not received a confirmation email. There is no order history of my order no order number. The web help form will not submit, is this a scam site?

      • Same issue as Pisces889, I paid successfully with paypal $400 for an Ebay giftcard today and the website didn't even process the order and gave me a transaction error message despite charging me. Absolutely no email from giftz.com. ;(

  • I agree with Pisces8899, also bought a visa prepaid card and never got confirmation email and/or gift card. And money definitely left account.
    Also starting to think that it's a scam as have not managed to get contact back or send help form too.

  • I have tried purchasing the gift cards multiple times and with multiple cards. Every time it says transaction declined. I have checked with the bank and it's all good from their end.

    I am purchasing gift cards as the Velocity business portal offers 5 points for every $2 spent on giftz.com.au, but buying a gift card from this website is very challenging.

  • I have just persisted with the giftz.com.au website and purchased an e-gift card for a family member birthday present.

    There are errors in the site everywhere, form validation issues and problems with the checkout process… but I got there.

    Hang in there, I’m sure they’ll invest in fixing the issues.

    • 9/4/2024 still having issue checking out using paypal and Google pay…I don't want to provide my CC details along with all my personal info while choosing credit card to pay.

  • Giftz.com.au is a scam. I ordered a Activ prepaid card, straight away it said my card declined and at the same time I get notification from bank saying the transaction worked. I rang em and without hesitation they said 7-10 and get my refund. 10 days later I ring and they have no record of it. Smh

  • I also purchased a gift card and payment went through but declined on their end. They don’t explain that the address on your bank account must be the same as the address you input on your order, not sure why they don't mention this. Also, not sure why address is required, as they email the gift card instead of posting it.

    Hi, I also recently purchased a gift card for Giftz online website and it says I should be able to use the card to make any purchase on the website. But I'm not able to use the card for any transactions neither am I able to add it to my wallet? I have already raised a query but for $30 they have told me that they will get back to me in 5 days. Moreover, I have shown them all the details that the card is not working and even my wallet issuer has confirmed that the card is invalid. All I asked was for a swap for the card that I was actually looking to buy instead of the gift card. They have all the details and the amount, still they are not ready to do it. Like why should I wait 5 days? Moreover, the first representative that I spoke to was nice and escalated the issue, but after that I tried contacting them again and the second representative was not ready to listen and was just rude to me like I don't know what to say about that. I usually buy gift cards for $100 to $400 every month and they have my account as well and they can check my past transactions as well but for $30, this is kind of an irrational behavior in my opinion, especially on a day just before the long weekend.

  • Just tried buying an ebay gift card, transaction failed, used paypal with linked amex, has come off the card and got the PayPal email. Let's see if it comes through or I'm going to be waiting a while like the others :(

    • i tried to buy an Ubereats cert ; errored and still pending charge on my amex ..

      • Hey mate don't worry it'll bounce back/disappear after about 4/5 business days I think it was. Talked to Amex CS they said they can only really help once it goes through/disappears and the giftz CS had a copy pasted response probably because of how many complaints they get.

  • I purchased the 10% off gift card, failed to apply the discount code, emailed them and called them immediately, they still processed with the full price and refused to give 10% comparable credit, but based on my experience with other sellers, it is not a problem at all.

  • Hi - @AustinBlack I bought 5x $100 apple gift cards and got 5x $10 bonus eGift Cards. I was able to exchange only one to an Amazon GC, the rest give me the error "Transaction declined. Please contact your Bank or use another card.". Could you please advise what the issue is? Thanks

    • Hi @blam6, thanks for your comment. Yes we aware of this issue, we are currently working on a fix to ensure you can redeem your Giftz eGift Card, I will update asap but can assure you we will ensure this is resolved.

  • I purchased a $100 gift card for my brother's birthday through https://giftz.com.au/ the day before his birthday, but neither he nor I ever received it. Despite numerous calls and speaking to several customer service representatives, I keep getting the same response: my case number CS14712988 is 'open' and unresolved and I should keep waiting. I’ve also requested a refund but have had no success. This has been a frustrating and disappointing experience. Avoid this website and company—they’ll waste your money and cause unnecessary stress!
