Which Brands Only Offer Fixed Pricing?

I recently found out that the Australian mattress brand, Peace Lily has a 365 Day Honest Price Policy where they don't offer sales or promotions (other than a friend referral reward of $50 for select purchases) so you never have to worry about chasing the best price with them.

I understand Mercedes-Benz also has a fixed-price, direct-to-customer agency model.

What other brands only offer fixed pricing? Bonus points if they're Australian.

so you never have to worry about chasing the best price with them.

Honda also offers the 'Shit-Price-Promise'. You can see by the number of dealers they have closed (sorry streamlined) that even if you have an issue with your overpriced econobox you'll need a taxi ride to collect it when it's repaired.
So not only a shit price but an equally crappy ownership experience.

… and Tesla. Brace for incoming!

I had a look at the prices recently…. the starting price for a Civic is $45K!! …for a damn Civic!!

I remember not so long ago, prices started in the low $20Ks!.

      • Thats cause along with taking away your choice of dealer and bartering a better price away, they are taking away all choice by importing only one version.

        Solid business model there.

Well.. it's obviously working - sales have gone to shit and the Aussie CEO resigned (aka sacked!!) last year! lol

          • @bobbified: Yep, 20 years ago you could've had a stand alone Honda dealership and made money, now it'll cost you to turn the lights on in that part of the multi franchise dealership.

so are we for or against fixed pricing?

For, if the price is likely to go up.
Against, if it's likely to go down.

    Miele appliances.

I think Asko appliances also work this way.

My understanding is if you buy Miele from anywhere you are dealing directly with Miele for delivery. Happy to be corrected on that. We get our stuff directly from Miele and try to wait until they have a sale. Fortunately when our old fridge died they had a sale on.

"fixed price" to me sounds a lot like "price fixing"…

Lush. Apart from Boxing Day sales and sometimes end of year sales, their pricing is pretty consistent.

    • They're on my BD sales s/s although I don't know whether their sale extends across their entire range.
