  • Same offer directly from Samsung too.

Can also use any earphones/headphones to trigger the trade-in bonus.

Note: Australia got the Exynos Processor instead of the Snapdragon (which is exclusive to US).

The FE (Fan Edition) is usually a 'lite' version of the flagship line.

        • this time is more like a newer version of s22+
should have called it a S22FE

      • It is Samsung-made, cheaper, and closer to the Exynos 2200

    • is it single sim or dual physical sim?

      • +1

        According to JB Hi-Fi

        Dual SIM (nano-SIM + eSIM)

      • Stupidly all the S21 models had eSim EXCEPT the S21 FE…….what were they thinking! At least they included the eSim on this FE edition.

    • After Pixels ditching them and going TSMC route from 2025, they need to keep getting rid of their exynos somehow.

Not a good sign for the Aus market S24

  • +1

Battery is much better 4500 vs 3900 but Exynos vs Snapdragon. I choose S23+ lol

    • +2

Best compare to the S23+ as the S23 is a smaller display hence not as power hungry.
      Here is a comparison between S23, S23+ and S23FE

  • +2

Barely an upgrade over the S21 FE

    • just newer colour… extra SIM slot and more weight + 8Gb ram on 128 model
I have ordered a 256 , cannot resist when it is 40+% off + bonus gift on 1st day launch

      • Just discovered the S21 FE in Aus is single SIM, sucks.

S23 FE with some preorder incentives should be good, enjoy! What colour?

  • what is the point of the of FE at this price?

when can get the regular s23 or s23+

    • +1

A $300 cheaper model compared to the S23+. Kind of like Pixel phones when they release the "A" versions.

      • +2

Whenever I see FE models released, I feel it is inferior to the original (worst CPU and specs) and comes out too late
when the next version model close to being released

e.g. S22 FE released near when S23 was soon to come out
S24 will likely be release in jan or feb.

And I also seen Samsung Secret sales where we can get the S23 / S23+ / S23 Ultra (with trade in bonus) which is a much better deal than these price

Not sure if it is better to do what Apple does instead..
Release all the models at the same time but use the best last year CPU in their lowest model iphone

        e.g. iPhone 15 (A16 CPU), iPhone 15 Pro/Pro Max (A17 CPU),

        • +1

next year im sure it will not even be the best last year cpu, rather a knee capped version - they wont put a 'pro' cpu in the standard line

          • @Gdsamp: yeah but even with a non pro A17, it would still be plenty fast on IOS..

anyway the point is even if so that is how generally Apple operates

So people who have a tighter budget can get the iphone 15 when all the new models are released
instead of waiting near the end of the current models lifecycle to get it.

There is only about 3 months away from release of the S24 so paying $1K now seems silly and a waste of money.

        • Agreed although Samsung didn't release a S22 FE, in order to use their limited crappy Exynos 2200 in the S22 Ultras instead

    • +1

Can't get the S23 at this price right now

  • Pixel 8 Pro deal is probably a better shout

My wife still have her s20 fe, she keep it because SD slot.

  • can you buy it, redeem the battery pack and tags and then return the phone?
