Copying the description from this deal years ago.
Made in Japan very rarely have sales ontop of their normal clearances so it's a good time to get all the homewares you'd normally find on Kappabashi Street in Tokyo. It's not uncommon to see a lot of MIJ products in Japanese restaurants too.
Delivery cost
$15 - VIC, NSW, QLD, SA & ACT
$25 - WA, TAS & NT
Really good stuff and rarely you see them at 20% off. I buy most of my plates from them.
If you're worried about lead and cadmium from the Glaze, I emailed them about it a few months ago and this was their response.
We have been aware of the stringent Australian controls re lead levels in ceramic glazing for years - happily, Japanese ceramists do not like to use glazes with high lead levels either, so it has never really restricted our importing process. Up until maybe 10 years ago, there was intermittent testing of our product by AQIS to check for lead cadmium levels - there was never any detected and we were able to proceed with signed declarations that simply stated the product complied with lead cadmium permissible levels in Australia.
They sent me a document confirming this too.
That response they gave you is great customer service
