        made in australia wages

        • Made by Aussie?

          • @conant: indeed on the container

          • @conant: Aussies import and sell it no?

          • @conant: Is this the government allowed thing where you can import something from overseas, change it somehow (ie bottle it), then call it Made in Australia?

I'd say Australian "designed" for sure

Omo is made by Unilever, who are still operating in Russia. I've switched to other brands.

I realise that this might not be of importance to many people, but it is to me, and I thought I'd point it out.

        Lol
You mean the offensive that ended a month ago in which they captured two villages but they're still talking like they're going to capture Crimea?

Was only just reading Choice’s October mag, if that holds any weight for you, and they rated this at the bottom along with plain water and I think Coles Ultra concentrate. Omo ultimate range topped the list.

    • Very interesting. I'm curious - did they have a product that achieved best value or a similar metric?

      • Yes, Aldi’s Laundrite powder was best buy alternative.

Edit: But that’s not sensitive, the Aldi Trimate sensitive was at the bottom with this and Coles’. Only other sensitive ones in the list were the Omo Ultimate which was near top and Omo Sensitive powder in the middle of range, Omo brand not the cheapest though…

    • Based on this comment, I cancelled my order and got this

      Close to the same price

      • as a FYI, it's been this price past few weeks at Amazon. I bought some to try last week of Sept

        • +1

yeah about $2 off an actual deal price

    • Yeah the 'sensitive' versions of most detergents don't wash very well.

Omo normal one washes very well, followed closely by Aldi Trimat (again, non-sensitive version).

      • The omo ultimate sensitive was rated the best liquid detergent by choice.

        • and don't liquids wash worse than powders?

          • @placard: Only slightly behind Omo powders. All other brands (powder or liquid) seem to have performed worse than Omo Ultimate Sensitive liquid.

      • According to Choice, the performance Omo normal (liquid) is exactly the same as the sensitive one. They both suck:

        https://www.choice.com.au/home-and-living/laundry-and-cleani…

Trimat sensitive is, however, actually inferior to the non-sensitive version.

Amazon Prime Day has been lacklustre.

    • +6

I've seen neutral grey walls with more vibrance than prime day.

      • Use to buy some electronics and bought nothing today. The colour black even looks vibrant.

ALDI Almat is better deal even at full price. Thankfully that is good enough for me.

  • From memory, the price was ~$40 when I switched to another detergent. No regrets from switching to another brand. Does the same job. May be Omo understood now that the ridiculous price won't work. Nice price however I will still not switch back to Omo.
