Yes, but the train doesn't run very well on NiMH chemistry, I assume the voltage is too low for the motor.

Kids leave it on and batteries drain, gotta be on it. Otherwise, great train great track.

You can buy extra tracks. Made some quite long loops when my kids were younger.
It's a great set of little ones, with an interesting app.
Also can teach basic logic with the colour blocks to stop, reverse, water refill and toot sounds.
Extra tracks and bridge are pricey, but can make big loops and switches to change tracks.
The freight train is pretty cool (when on sale).
