  • What do they mean by lock up your phone? You mean press the lock button and then * ? Do you have to do it in front of them, as in, turn it on then lock it?

These days with touchscreen phones they lock by themselves after you a few seconds of inactivity.

It means they'll put your phone in a locker so nobody can bother you while you take your lunch break.

  • +3

how do we get an original voucher?

    • Just rock up, see the Facebook page.

  • +2

I think one might reclaim their lunch hour by the more easily interpreted & universal, 'power off' function.

  • what if i have 2 phones? can i just lock the one i don't use and use the other while eating?

    • +7

No, because the people behind the counter will know that you have two phones on your person. Most likely, you will be escorted off the premises by security.

      • LOL! Do they send you in jail or you can go home after they escort you off the premises?

        • +2

Depends. If you're caught using your 2nd phone instore, they may call the police. Otherwise you'll probably be sent home with a verbal warning.

        • +2

Or you simply just pay the price of the burger, and enjoy calling while eating just like everyone else around you in the shop who doesn't have a voucher

        • +1

Which shop do you go in!? I've never seen anyone calling whilst eating a grill'd burger. Let alone a whole shop full of people doing it !!!! ha ha.

        • do you need proof of purchase and video footage?

    • +3

2 phones must mean 2 free burgers ;)

  • +6

Like anyone's gonna leave them a $500 smartphone in turn of a $10 burger. "Sorry sir/mdm,we seem to have misplaced your phone. Here's a coupon for a free burer on your next visit." LOL

On 2nd thought, I guess you could bring in one of these :

If I let them lock up my burger, will the give me a new Galaxy S3?

i wonder if you can bring in the Free Boost from the previous offer, lock your phone and enjoy your free burger and boost juice while wearing your underpants on your head!

    • Logistics fail. Undie Monday. Burger Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.

      • +2

what if you buy your Boost and keep it(and the underpants) till tomorrow? :D

  • i suppose they will allow me to make skype and facetime calls on my ipad, as long as the mobile phone remains locked!

  • +3

What the hell is the point in this promotion?

    • Tried to work that out myself.

My guess is mobiles are making a negative impact on the store.. or maybe promote social interaction?

  • hmmm its a fast food joint, not exactly fine dinning…. does anyone eating in a fast food joint give a toss if the 13 yearold at the next table is on their iphone!!

  • if they want the 13 year old's table then yes, they would care

  • Proposed maybe as a 'fun' gimmick but possibly designed to just thin the numbers of those comfortable to participate.

    Also:

Limited to 100 free burgers per day
    First in, best dressed

..as they say i guess, all's well that ends well.
