The numbers seem to be filling up quick, the restaurant is small but I think they can accommodate for more people but I'll need to check with them.
Not sure if we can / should increase the cap?
Feel free to give them a ring and ask! I’ve only organised small events and from my experiences 15 is the ideal number for people to mingle.

I've expired the poll for now as we've gone way over the cap!
I'll hopefully be able to see the order in which people voted so that I can come up with the list of attendees (based on cap), as well as the waiting list. At the moment I don't have the functionality to but believe this is due to roll out sometime next week.
I'll also be in touch with the restaurant to see if we can increase the number of people but no guarantees.
mods will be able to help you with this closer to the date. iirc there was a workaround last year and the year prior to address this

Hey everyone, I really appreciate the strong interest in this OzBargain sponsored birthday party!
I have just sent a round of messages out to everyone who are in the 15 - if I don't get final confirmation by Sunday or if people reply that they are unable to make it, the waiting list queue will progress.
@chhola that is an idea however scotty has mentioned in another post that there would be no more NSW events - splitting this off into another I think would fall into that category. I think an unsponsored portion would be a brilliant idea in the spirit of bringing together local OzBargainers! Perhaps people could leave a comment if interested and you could coordinate.
I was keen on keeping this event smaller, and because I've only received 10 shirts from scotty, and to give people who registered first a fair chance at receiving one (it will be first come first serve for the registered attendees by the way!), I won't be increasing the cap from 15. This will probably be unpopular, but the restaurant is small and there's only really 1 seating area where a group of 15 could maybe all sit together.
If I were on the waitlist, I'd keep an eye on this over the next week as people may pull out or not respond by Sunday, and there's a chance you'd move into the attendees.

Nice meeting all of you! Special thanks to @jiayijames & @sunnyc who helped with ordering the food because I couldn't speak chinese so the lady wouldn't talk to me lol.
