More Storage Purchase Advice

Hi all,
I'd like to buy storage as I'm nearing full capacity for my 10 year old computer.

Status and inventory:
120gb sata ssd
1tb hdd
2tb hdd
1tb external hdd
All nearing full capacity.
Filled with docs, rom, video, photo

Goal:
Buy more storage and consolidate all files.

Question:
What storage should I buy? External or internal HDD?
What size? I'm thinking 6-8tb at least

When are the best sales? Which brand and type? Non-nas type?
Amazon prime has a big deal day tomorrow 10/10-11/10.
Would this be a good day or black friday sales? Generally.

Please let me know what you guys know.

    You could go even bigger and use some of those old drives as backups for things you'd miss if they disappeared. I'd back up to the cloud too for most important things. Office 365 family can be had for like $100 a year and you can share it with five other people and everyone gets 1TB each, it's a good deal if you want Office anyway.

      Thanks I use Google photos for family photo and videos.
      And some important docs on Google drive

    Black Friday is good for large external drives.
    And don’t forget shucking if you want more internal storage.

    This is a 'joke/troll' post, right?

    As a legit/sensible post, it makes no sense.

    On the off chance that your question is genuine, just buy a cheap new laptop, and a cheap 4 or 5 TB external hard drive, utilise a cloud service as well, and … done.

    Sheesh.

    Note also that you can always 'outsource' permanent storage of your favourite pics to FaceBook for free. Create an album (or multiple albums), fill your albums up with your pics, and BOOM … there they are … forever.

    For your videos, the same applies re YouTube …

    Any vids that you would not mind the general public viewing can be uploaded to YouTube for free, and they will remain there, accessible to all, permanently. Zero cost to you.

    Perfect, yeah?
