Seems like $598 to upgrade to the latest iPhone every year. Is this worth it?

Potentially, since it saves you the hassle of selling the old iPhone separately and at $50/month, it's not too bad but…

1) You really don't need the latest iPhone every year. The improvements and updates are quite incremental so it doesn't make sense really.
2) "Powered by Asurion"… No thanks. Just search here for all the complaints about them when trading in a phone.
