We have standard garage door where you have a lock on the ground and then you open it.
A. How much does it cost to convert into remote control garage door?
B. I think been able to move the lock to the middle of the door works too. This is mainly for elderly parents so they don't need to bend down to open.

Is there a GPO close to where the opener would be mounted? If not you will need to factor that cost in.
If the existing door has a spring get a pro to do it. Springs are dangerous even when you know what you're doing.
If it's one of those roll up ones, they are heavier than you think and will knock you off a ladder if you don't plan it right.
I would probably just Google garage doors in your area and get 3 quotes for replacement
To give you a guide, replacing a motor recently for a tilt door cost me $500. Don't bother moving handle to middle.
