  • Wow good find.

  • Is there anything like this which is fridge only?

Tempted otherwise to get this but want to confirm the convertible 100L means it can be fridge temp only?

  • Have owned this fridge for three years - great fridge 👍🏽

    • +1

is there an option to use the water dispenser and ice by filling water tank and without doing the plumbing work?

      • Sounds annoying af!

        • haha I know, but my current kitchen setup doesn’t have plumbing anywhere near where my fridge is so trying to see mu options

          • +1

@ujwols: I run mine through the cupboards, about 5 meters. Was a bit of a pain to install and replace but not onerously so.

  • this is on sale from HN a few days ago. I ordered from appliances online with a price match. got it delivered a few days ago, very nice fridge!

  • rickhart has it for the same price plus 300 gift card

  • Would anyone get this fridge instead? Why/ why not?

Hisense HRCD585SW 585L Quad French Door Fridge (S/less Steel) https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/hisense-hrcd585sw-585l-qu…

Seems new Hisense fridges are out but stats read to be the same

    • Id be happy with either of them (I have plumbed water).

I bought a Samsung SRS675DLS a few weeks ago myself.

From what I understand anything at this price point - whatever you buy - I think you can expect them to last around 7 years or so before the compressor gives up the ghost.

      • Thoughts on this one? https://www.harveynorman.com.au/samsung-647l-bespoke-freesta…

I can get it through Samsung Employee Discount portal and it's $2.5k. Seems to have a lot of features. Haven't seen it in person. Keep being told don't go Samsung

        • soz, no idea. Extra features are extra stuff to go wrong (though imo icemaker is worth it)

      • 8 years and still going. Similar model to yours. Fingers crossed! (Ive just jinxed myself havent i)

  • Got this fridge last week, been monitoring it and it seems that freezer keeps dropping to +2 degrees from -18 degrees after every 8 hour or so. Did anyone else experience this as well?

    • Surely that's just the auto-defrost cycle running ?

Self-defrost (or frost-free) is a cleaning design feature in freezers. Self-defrosting is an automatic defrost cycling process requiring no intervention from the user. It works by heating coils inside the freezer at regular intervals to prevent frost build-up.

All freezers do this if they're from this century…

      • Oh ok. Thats interesting to know.
