  • They are grown in Vietnam

That’s a pity they are imported so I have to give it a miss. I want to support local farmers as it keeps their business going and it also helps create local jobs. Plus I think its always better to support your community than supporting someone I don’t even know.
When it comes to white goods we have no option but to buy imported suff, but when it comes to food I always make sure it is locally grown.

There is actually one limited choice - Electrolux still run their cookware plant in Adelaide.

But considering Electrolux seem to own everything that used to be Australian made and has closed all the other plants, I assume that one will disappear as soon as the government stops funneling money into it.

        Hi Steve,

We also range Australian frozen Berries, veggies, Purees and Fruits you can visit our website www.frozberries.com.au.

        Thank you

        • Thanks.

      • It's entirely sensible to buy locally grown food.

Australian farmers, distributors and sellers are subject to Australian laws, so if you get Hepatitis because the farmer sprayed the the berries with human sewage, you can sue the living (profanity) out of them. Good luck extraditing anyone from Vietnam, let alone getting compensation from them.

Australian farmers having sustainable business ensures Australian food security. This means hostile foreign powers can't hold us to random with food prices or availability and in times of war ensures we can't be starved into surrender.

Finally, Australian farmers spend their money in Australia, keeping our economic engine churning.

If you're struggling just buy the best food at your price range, but if you have the means Australian grown isn't much dearer and worth it.

And the seller is still making a worthwhile profit, imagine how much the product costs them, peanuts!

  • Not sure I would like to eat frozen Avo, anyone give feedback on taste

    • +2

I think most people use frozen when making shakes

    • Subway use frozen avocado

      “Eat fresh”

      • Do they really? I haven't eaten subway in years so i wouldn't know

        • Same, subway use to be a foot long roll full of food, now they look like a floppy, tied old kmart croc

  • Would these taste the same as fresh avocado when defrosted?

    • No

    • I think putting them in shakes or dip is fine but not to really "eat" it as it would be hard when frozen and mushy when defrosted.

  • These avos gave us food poisoning.

    • Sorry to hear that.

Can you please email us with more details on [email protected].
      1) Name/Contact details
      2) How you used the avocados
      3) What was the application?
we have sold more than 1000 units and so far, no complains.
Can you please send us images if you have any of the avocados before consumption/After consumption?
So, we can raise concerns with growers.
We sincerely apologies for inconvenience caused.
once you send us the details we will investigate further.
