I got $20 off $50 spend at any Grocery store

    • same, have this instead.

    • How?

      • +1

Popped up when going to the Grocery section in the app

  • What area are you guys from, is it a new Coles? I didn't get any offers unfortunately :'( Is there a code for either or just a direct offer in the app? Tx guys

    • Not a new Coles. I think it is just randomly targeted, account isn't new either. Currently on the free 6 months trial of uber one with PayPal

  • +4

    Service fee $4
    Delivery fee $4.99

Most of my 50% savings eroded by fees. Fair enough with the delivery fee but those service fees creep up frequently and Uber One doesn’t seem to reduce the service fee.

    • What?? Uber one member still needs to pay delivery fee??

      • +1

I have free delivery from Uber One benefits

Looks to be $40 minimum spend for groceries

Delivery benefits available only for eligible stores showing the Uber One icon. $20 minimum order (excluding fees) to receive delivery benefits (including $0 Delivery Fee) from participating restaurants, $40 minimum order for eligible grocery and other stores.

        https://www.ubereats.com/au/uber-one

    • Does that mean you have the deal and not uber one member? I assumed all the deals are for uber one haha

Please let me know and I'll remove the Uber One tag.

      • I have Uber One and I’m shown a delivery fee and a service fee. I do get the 50% off on the grocery items though.

    • +2

Uber One gets free delivery for orders over $40

      • Yep. You are correct.

    • +2

My favourite fee is from Pizza Hut - Sunday Surcharge +$4.19.

      WTF is this???

      • They also charge higher on Sundays when buying directly to cover penalty rates

    • Higher minimum delivery for Coles

  • +2

I got 40% in coles and woolies

  • +4

I got $30 off $50 order with 1st Nov expiry.

  • Anyone know who does the shopping? Is it Coles staff or the Uber driver?

    • +1

      Uber driver.

      • -2

        Its coles for Ubereats
        Its Dasher for Doordash

        • +2

Incorrect. Uber driver goes to Coles themselves and shop your orders.

          • @foxes28: Next time I will ask the uber driver

            • @Avi0001: It is the Uber driver for Coles. I've had them the driver message me before about item availability.

    • Uber driver

    • Uber Driver in my experience. And it's been quite a decent experience I must say for the most part my driver/shopper will shoot through a quick message if they can't find a specific item and ask you if a substitute is suitable etc.

Side note: does anyone know how do the drivers pay Coles for the order?

      • Not with Uber, but my Doordash coles was paid using credit card. Doordash would reimburse them later as part of their earnings I'd imagine.

      • they have a card that is loaded with the order value

        • +1

This doesn't make sense as the grocery order is variable. It can go up/down depending on fruit weight or replacement product costing more.

If it was only loaded with the order value then they will not be able to fulfil those scenarios.

          • @CodeXD: My Coles orders on Uber Eats always include a docket from the register in the bags, and it's always paid via a Visa Prepaid card.

      • Uber Plus Card

    • I know why you'd ask. Coles staff know what they're doing but every time it's been up to the app driver, they've absolutely royally messed it up.

  • Got this. Thanks OP

  • +1

10% off in one account, $20 off $50 spend in another. Both have uberone.

  • +4

    Got nothing

  • Coles , IGA and metro wollies 50% off.

  • Plus foodworks and friendly groccer grocery 50% off.

    • Thank you. I've edited the post to add the other grocery stores

  • I got 40% off up to $20. Thanks OP P man

  • One of my accounts also got 40% off up to $20. Thanks for the alert OP.

  • Thanks OP.

  • Does it stack with this offer?
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/801854

    • It doesn't stack, I got both promo, can only select 1 code at a time in the checkout (haven't placed order yet). I'm not sure if using this 50% (that expire end of Oct) will invalidate the other $20 off offer (expire end of Dec, as the other offer is saying first order)

  • I have 30% off at coles. Minimum $1 order. And a $30 off a $40 spend that i can redeem twice. Why? I don't know. Am i complaining? Hell no!

  • What’s the code ?

    • There is no code - you should be prompted with a pop up at the bottom of your screen. If you don't have the pop-up, it means you don't get it.

    • +1

You can also click on grocery banner from homepage and eligible stores will have 50% off (Spend $1)

  • Is it one time use only ?

  • nothing on my account :( got 6 months free uber one from citi

  • Last time i used Ubereats to buy my groceries, they had swap half of my life for alternatives. Hash browns were swapped for unsalted butter, bag of rice swapped for a few mrs macs giant sausage rolls

    • +3

I think you just got someone else's order lol

      • Haha most likely! Still not my order though!

  • where is the offer?

  • Looks like my Uber driver does a lot of Coles orders. He puts in his own FlyBuys card and has collected a crapload of BBQ Credits.

  • It's kinda waste of time. Order 2x on different day (1 on partner acc), in both cases got my order arrived with common items like steak OOS (and no replacement, even I did put best match + note to call if needed), saving very little after fee as they only do the percentage discount on the remaining. The fixed amount (like $20 off) is better as you keep the discount if items are missing.

  • I keep getting Promo not applied errors, and then the promo disappearing from the account. Not sure what's going on.

    • This is one is not a promo code. Search Coles (or go to grocery), if u have it in ur account, it'd show green 40-50% on Coles logo and applied automatically at checkout. Once u use it, the percentage discount disappeared.

  • I have never gotten a meaningful offer from Uber. The best I have received is some $5 off $20 spend at IGA.

I was wondering if regular tippers get shafted on promotions because maybe that is not the type of customer they are looking to acquire. I might have to stop tipping the drivers and see if that improves the statistical probability of receiving these offers.

I find the whole Uber one product is quite useless except for their 5% uber cash deal. I would not recommend it for any casual users, but I noticed a lot of users were onboarded during the free promotions via mastercard and paypal.

This offer is kind of crazy. 50% at every Coles/IGA/spudshed within delivery distance. I can't buy enough food lol

    • +1

I've done 6 orders. 50% off the half price specials has been amazing. Thanks Uber.
