Best Place to Buy Watches

Hey guys,

I'm looking for a Tissot or Seiko watch for my dad's upcoming 50th birthday.

anyone know of a reputable retailer (online or in Melbourne) that sells these genuine watches at a good price?

Getting a bargain is not necessarily my priority but I would like it to be of good value (ie. similar with overseas pricing of these watches)

For example, when I checked one watch model (eg. Tissot Carson Automatic), oz retailer such as Angus & Coote, Salera, & JR duty free sells them for $950 where as in the US online store it's $750.

Any help would be appreciated.

    Would you consider amazon.com? That is where I got my PRC200 and T-Touch from, and I have no complaints.

        thanks i will def have a look :) just wondering, your prc and t-touch came with all the supporting documentations for authenticity and warranty yes?

        i'm going overseas in a couple weeks so was trying to make use of the gst refund. in addition, i also know that it is also common for these retailers to give discounts if you were buying it cash then and there

          Yeah. There is some difficulty in that amazon aren't an official dealer, so they honour the warranty, rather than Tissot. Which for me was a plus, as I Defn prefer their customer service over my local jeweler! It came with the box, etc as well.

          As both were less than a K I didn't pay GST on them. I guess Mr Harvey would love me!

    There is a place in Springvale near the shopping mall thing… They will sell 20-30% less than retail… Can't remember the name, but omega, tw steel, bretling, etc. shit suburb, but legit gear.

      Cpk. That's the place, will also match Sony prices on tv's(Sony center in store)

        cheers. i'll head down there on the weekend.

        perhaps will also try my luck at duty free stores in the suburbs (box hill, dandenong) and see if they can do some deals unlike in the city

    Buy from overseas. Most order take 3 days to reach your door.
