  • I'll wait for this to drop into Gamepass :)

    • The only problem with that is you don't own the game. And it can be pulled from Gamepass at any time leaving it suddenly unplayable.

Seeing as the Activision Blizzard merger is about to close, I don't see why Microsoft would remove a 1st party title from Gamepass unless it was due to licenses expiring (i.e.Forza)

Nothing is really stopping you from buying it at a later date anyhow.

Let's wait till Microsoft completely stops the $1 loophole and we all have to pay $19/month for GamePass Ultimate. Then, we will know how people really feel about GamePass Ultimate.

So far, Blizzard completely shut down the idea of the new game coming to Xbox Game Pass.

          • @netsurfer: They've already stopped the $1 loophole.

When did Blizzard say they're not coming to gamepass? Diablo 4, which was released before their acquisition?

            • -4

@ozb88: Well, Micro$osft also indicated this:

Sony imposes "restrictions" on Call of Duty's ability to be in Game Pass, Xbox claims. "For a number of years." Sony's current Call of Duty marketing deal "restricts" Activision's big-budget shooter series from appearing in Xbox Game Pass, Microsoft has claimed.

I think that gives Microsoft leeway for not putting CoD on Game Pass, likewise for Diablo 4 (just had Activision announced no can do).

            • @ozb88: The thing with Diablo 4 was when asked about having the game on GamePass, Blizzard (knowing Microsoft acquisition will most likely take place, otherwise why would people ask the GamePass question) indicated it does not make sense for Diablo 4 to be on GamePass on Day 1.

              • @netsurfer: Yes, because it's illegal for either company to discuss anything about their plans prior to the acquisition going through. Once it it completes, we'll see ActiBlizz games on gamepass, maybe not right away but it will happen over time.

          • +3

@netsurfer: Game pass is worth it even at $19 a month, though none of us here pay that much.

            • @Mooncakes: If it is $19/month, I simply won't purchase it. I was off GamePass Ultimate for 6 months earlier this year. If it weren't because of the Turkey trick, I would not have renewed.

      • 1st party Xbox/bethesda/ABK games don't leave game pass, so that won't happen.

        • Call of Duty Modern Warfare II cannot be put in GamePass yet due to what Sony and Activision agreed previously. At best, Sony can enforce it for 2 more COD games. Sure, once the restriction is lifted, Microsoft will likely add them in.

Diablo 4, honestly, let's see what Microsoft does once the purchase of ABK is done. Forza Horizon series, you only get standard edition. Expansion packs are not included. I forked out $$$ to buy the VIP packs because they have quality of life goodies. Doesn't feel "Ultimate" when you only get Standard Edition.

The producer for Diablo 4 used to work for Microsoft (Gears 5). He was fine having Gears 5 in GamePass on day 1, but not Diablo 4?

Mw3 is right around the corner

    • Yeah was going to say, this look pricey considering MW3 is coming in November

    • I'm actually going to play COD this year. It has all the maps from the 2019 MW2. Best in the series.

      • +1

        2009*

        • +1

          Correct.

  • All cod games are on sale in Xbox store, thinking about grabbing bo1/2
This Vers of Mw2 was/is OK
But yeh. Next game around the corner

  • +1

Please remaster Blackout and BO1, these latest releases have been trash

  • Ok time for a stupid question

What’s the difference between this game and the free game that’s like a battle royal like Fortnite?

    • They’re different games. I don’t really understand the question sorry. It’s like saying what’s the difference between Barbie and Oppenheimer they’re both “movies”.

      • I was just wondering what’s the difference between the two today’s games. What does the paid one have over the free one?

      • That answer was super helpful.

@Twisty more game modes on the paid version I think.

        • Thanks

  • I'm still playing Black Ops 4 on PS4/5,
MW2 was so buggy and slow at beta, so much so it put me off bothering to try at launch (Since MP was so terrible).
Overpriced given MW3 is looming as other's have said

  • I tried to play few FPS games on Xbox (used discs are chaper), but it is so hard to move to sticks for viewing and aiming :/ Some games supports KB/Mouse but very few.

  • Hackers EVERYWHERE at the moment, ricochet is doing nothing

    • I’ve played a lot and run into maybe 2. Are you talking about DNZ or regular game modes?

  • Seems to be back to $109.95 now
