Been watching this one for a while and my CCC came through as the best price it's been. Everywhere else I looked had it for RRP or discounted to $229

my $30 xiaomi body scale has similar funtions, too.
wondering what extra this provides that worths 6 times more.
(sincere face :)While I agree you can save a lot of $$ if you're not using the Garmin ecosystem, for those that do, there's really nothing else with similar features. Specifically, the fact that this one automatically syncs to Garmin, which then flows to Garmin watches, cycle computers etc automatically, which impacts things like cycle power calculations (body weight is big contributor there), etc.
So, if you really want that sort if data quickly and conveniently synced into Garmin devices, then this is one of the best prices I've see on this scale. If you don't need that specific feature, then you can save some $$ on a different manufacturer :)
My $30 Renpho does the exact same thing. I had the Garmin and dropped something on it which broke it. You can sync automatically to Garmin app via a small work around syncing from the Renpho app to my fitness pal which then syncs to Garmin. Since I moved from the Garmin, I really don't see the value in spending $200 on this.
Does the renpho do all those syncing steps automatically?
@Mentok: Care to give instructions on how to get Renpho to sync with garmin?
@cam83: Sure, like I said it is a bit convoluted but it does work.
You need to sync Renpho to the Fitbit app, then sync Fitbit App to My Fitness Pal and then MyFitness Pal to Garmin. For me it is worth not paying $200 bucks for a smart scale. I only need weight and BMI.
Connection is bluetooth only
Sorry wrong reply
is it wifi or bluetooth only? The garmin one is wifi and doesnt stuff up the uploads like the cheaper one i started off with.
If you look at ALL the reviews, the only "real" benefit of this scale is that it's the only one that natively integrates with the garmin app.
By most accounts the weight metric is accurate, but the other body composition stuff is disputable/inaccurate (probably true for most body comp scales).Unless you are 100% in the garmin eco system, theres no value here, other scales are better products at a lower price point
I would suspect the accuracy might be more reliable, however I can't find much to back this up. I agree if you're in the Garmin eco system it might be of some benefit, I just enter my weight into myfitness app which also links to the Garmin app anyway. So probably not much value gain here over an alternate digital body composition scale.
With that price it better burn my fat too
Lol here we go again.
Paying extra $160 for "integration" when the only important numbers to check is the KG lol.
The rest are scams.
I understand that this scale integrates straight into Garmin Connect, (I can appreciate that convenience, I have a watch and cycling computer) but many of the cheap $30 smart scales (even some of the BT ones) can still automatically sync data into Garmin (did some research a few months ago, just google the brand of the scale + "Garmin connect sync")
Only reason to buy this is if you are locked in to Garmin ecosystem.
Everyone else can get one of the generic ones.
A friend gave me one before he left the country. Its really cool and uselful. But not sure i would pay that much. I like the charts and seeing the graphs of change. Its s good way to track your weight every day.
$30 Renpho does this just fine.
I got one with similar features on Amazon for $30. Similar ones in JB for $40. RENPHO Smart Body Scale. It connects bluetooth and puts all the date into Apple Health for easy tracking.
