Has anyone found that these particular deals usually comes with a very small serve of chips?

    • +1

Yes, otherwise known as tight arse size

    • +3

I got an extra chip from there today…

I ran out quickly before they realised their mistake…

      • Did they give you the fork?

        • With those portions they forked JV alright.

        • +4

          They gave me the bird

          • @jv: As long as they flipped it on the rotisserie. I hate it when it’s unevenly cooked

        • Lucky, last time this happened to me 3 of them chased me down the street.

These aren't a ¼ chicken and chips, being sold at $5

This is a $5 ¼ chicken and chips.

Source, I went through Drive-Thru and asked for ¼ cjicken and chips and was told the price was $13.
I said nah mate, they're advertised at $5.

I was confidently informed, I Have to Ask for the $5 ¼ chicken and chips

      • +2

I Have to Ask for the $5 ¼ chicken and chips

Looks like they might be exploiting under age chooks again.

      • +3

        its the odd bunch chickens

      • -1

So it’s effectively a quarter of a $5 chicken? In that case, $3.75 is a pretty competitive price for a serving of their chips

    • Not for me, they usually have chips overflowing but 1 time I had the tiniest piece of chicken (more like 1/10th)…

Why aren't these specials on the app? Useless.

    • +1

I'm yet to find a use for their app.

      • their app was decent recently in the promo section as it during fathers day it was giving 10 free nuggets with any purchase and it never disappeared after the single use so I stacked up a few times. But in general its a horrible app- ordering anything through it is terrible with most things not offering any customisation if you dont want something on it/swapping an item or even sometimes just upsizing. I've emailed them a couple times about the app's issues to no response - but yeah one of the worst chain food apps when compared to others.

      • The app has a total of 23 deals when i look at it… can't find anything you like? Maybe you don't like red rooster lol

    • These specials ARE on the app.
      Source: I have the app.

      • You can’t order special this via the app. You have to order in restaurant. I think that’s the point…

  • +3

I stopped going to Red Rooster when they only put 8 chips in the box.

    • Where you go now?

      • +1

Chip Shack - Where 9 chips are guaranteed! (TM)

  • The $5 Reds burger was a lot better promo than this thing. Its gonna be the tiniest piece of chicken with chips in this box

  • +3

I can confirm full quarter. Great deal.

    • +1

      You’re almost half right

      • +1

        You are half right.

  • Last meal I received was more like sparrow size & 10 chips really bad & never again.

  • FREE $5 Quarter Chicken and Chips🎉
Checked old emails. Found $5 credit added to 3 unused family accounts at start of September, valid for 365d!
Subject: "We have topped up your Royalty Rewards balance!"
Plus $3 birthday voucher expiring this week.

    • RR has forced logged out users and enabled Text verification code for logging in. Any way to get around this for an old account?

      • Ouch! Was logged out by RR on old account.
Just tried to redeem $5. Hit that roadblock. Was a long forgotten free number long ago!

Mainly was getting free piece of fried each month.
        Time for a new account!

        • +1

RR is force-logging-out all users and asking to update the App.
Once the app is updated, it will send SMS and ask you to input a code.

I managed to not update the app, and open the app and quickly tap 'Scan Card' and take a screenshot of the QR Code.
With this, I am able to have the QR Code, and now the app has force-logged me out.

Just scanned this screenshot and redeemed the 1pc free Chicken.

          • @djoz: Had hoped to do that, but old app was too quick - to screenshot QR code. Now forces an update…

Store (in the past) often didn't scan & asked for phone number (which I never know) - read it from the app.

Luckily my main account is on my long term phone number. So logged in on website, updated password, received 2 SMS to confirm… $5 waiting for me🎉
But no free piece per month offers on that old account.

Already returned from RR - hungry.

            • @INFIDEL: Picked this up today, paid with $5 credit found on old account. Fortunately it's mobile number is still in use.

  • It's basically the cheapest price possible to get you in the door, and then as little possible on the value side. You need to buy two of these if you want a decent lunch.

    • I legit bought two for lunch

      • +1

        Check your shop-a-docket.

Near me there is a 2 classic quarters for $10 and they actually pack the chips in there without the pouch.

  • +3

Just got it. Full sized wing quarter. Respectable amount of chips. Well worth 5 dollary doos.

    • +1

Me too, they crammed it with chips. Can't complain.

  • Need more local stores

  • $6 in the NT

  • Anyone know why they changed from Coke to Pepsi?

    • Better profit I'm guessing.

  • omg. red just updated the app to force old user to login with sms txt…. have few old accounts can't even remember the numbers! got these $5 top up credits need to use.. how to get around or time to give them all up…?
