  • Don't know what is happening this year, but it appears that renewal from AAMI ($802) are better priced than their competitors ($1820 from Woolies). Same as my other ride which I renewed the insurance for earlier this year…

    • Same here… renewal from RACV has gone up by $400. Shopped around and the quote from AAMI was the most competitive $800+ including windscreen option. I still can't figure why AAMI is so much cheaper compare to other competitors.

      • Because they had a decent profit and what to pass it to their customers?

      • Same here AAMI, the renewal premium increases by 600, was wondering if cheaper changes to other providers. After browsing they are all more expensive than the renewal price. don't know why

    • AAMI definitely picked up the game this year. Last year my home insurance with Budget direct was $700+, this year renewal and new quote were $1500+ for a $500k rebuild.

AAMI complete home replacement was $1000.

      • AAMI was cheap for me last year, but this year the premium increased by 30%.

  • +1

What about Youi? Cheaper and better than aami vs budget?

    • I think they are all underwritten bt the same insurance company. Sun

    • I have had 2 quotes from Youi previously, both were more than double the company I was currently with.

      • Do u mind telling the company. That is cheaper and competent

        • Hi zeee i got quotes for car insurance from youi, budget direct, racv, and aami yesterday. Aami were cheapest followed by budget direct. much cheaper than youi.

          • @bawls: Mine renewed 3rd party for budget.. paid 500

Krok Wollies why $100 worth codes (CAR20K, REW20K, CARX03) are not working?

  • Woolworth string the Bonus 15,000 Rewards Points (Worth $75) out 1250 Rewards Points per month. Nothing like before which they would give you $75/$100 in one go.

    • +2

Those were the good old days. Used to collect tons of Woolworths money from those deals.

      • Yes you are not wrong.

  • Make sure to check what the cost is without and with the code. I found that some insurers increase the cost to offset the bonus.

  • Except last time I checked the car insurance quote Woolies was higher by $600 sooo….

  • Prices quoted are more than 60% higher than AAMI renewal prices. What's wrong

  • Woolies was much dearer then both AAMI and BD for my insurance..

  • Woolworths is trying to tell me that the points will be given on a prorata monthly basis.

    Is that correct?

  • The code does not work ?

    • Works now

  • Surprisingly my quote came to around $650 for a comprehensive insurance with woolies. Although, I selected drive less pay less for up to 2000 kms per year as I don't drive much. But still it was never this low before.

  • My Woolworths insurance quote is double more than AAMI insurance considering AAMI 30% increase

  • +1

I'm so surprised that people are saying that their Woolies insurance is higher than others. I have just done quotes from 5 companies, and ALL were between $150 and $350 dearer than my Woolies renewal notice.
I guess it all comes down to your vehicle, where you live, what deodorant you use and so on.

    • Yes my Woolies car insurance renewal was cheaper than all the other quotes I received as well.

  • Woolies Insurance
Something that is not listed in the T&C's is if you had selected drive less pay less and renewed your policy and driven less the previous year Customer Service will reduce the K’s you have chosen and give you a refund.

Example selected drive less pay less only on Payed Renewal

Previous Years Starting K’s 50,000 + selected drive less pay less of 10,000 = 60,000.
Now if you Payed the Renewal it would show 60,000 + selected drive less pay less of 10,000 = 70,000 for the next year but if the Previous Year you had only driven 7,000 Customer Service will give you a refund for the 3,000 you drove less if you ring them. You still end up with the selected drive less pay less of 10,000 . It all works on the final Odometer reading on the policy to reset the correct reading.
This made my renewal a lot cheaper also as well.

  • Looks like the code has updated to CAR18K…which equates to $90 worth of Rewards Points. don't forget the additional 10% off in-store grocery shop every month.
