Works in SYD but hopefully there is no crazy surge when I want to ride at lunch time.

    • +3

It will be. My $10 normal ride turned into $26 ride during lunch time as Didi had no drivers. Eventually paid $7 after using $20 code

      • +2

        sheesh. that's crazy..

  • FREERIDEBNE applied. Thanks again.
    Confirmed time & date correct👍

  • FREERIDEPER doesnt work for me in WA. Probabaly can be because i use this code last 2 weeks…

Taken too many free rides. I was charged full amount and when contacted DiDi, they say my account is exhausted after taking too many free rides.

    • +1

How many is the limit? I'm new to rideshare

      • I have no idea, until and unless voucher is applied trip must be discounted

    • Uni can get free rides for thirstyfordeals1

    • Thats why I take screenshots before. If they were to charge me after I'll file a dispute

    • +1

If you entered the voucher in and the price reduced, I can't see how DiDi can make you pay. Shocking.

      • I didn't took the screenshot, it showed discounted while booking and after completion of trip amount deducted from my card. Contacted DiDi but issue not resolved. So from now onwards I'm taking screenshot.

The last time I tried to redeem this deal the driver started the 5-minute timer well before the car was close, then said he had arrived while pulling up to the completely wrong address. After calling me, he told me to walk to where his car was. I told him I was staying put (I was traveling interstate and didn't know the streets of Melb CBD).

Driver was pissed, but he told me not to cancel as he was turning around to fetch me. I made the fatal mistake of waiting for this guy as he ticked down the timer a further ten minutes - he was one block off so I thought it would be okay, but it really took a whole ten minutes (not sure if this was fraud or the roads actually do take that long, as I said IDK the roads). I had a time sensitive meeting to go to; so I waited.

After getting charged late fees per minute for about five minutes, he finally arrived and I hopped in, pretty pissed myself at him starting the timer so early and racking up late fees. Apparently, my silence was deemed rude and one minute in he told me to get out of his car because "he doesn't need my business". Got into a shouting match I probably shouldn't because I was at my limit. Left the car and got hit with late fees + cancellation fees from DiDi. Reported the driver to them, they replied with generic BS and gave me a $10 voucher that literally expired in 2 days (wtf). DiDi can go get f&&ked.

    • Sorry to hear of your negative and stressful experience. DiDi doesn't seem to care. Hope this driver isn't working for DiDi anymore.

I was just reading a few reviews of the service in Perth and DiDi doesn't sound good either.

I usually catch taxis but recently joined Uber with Uber One membership. So far no issues. Perhaps there is better service with Uber One membership.

    • I've dealt with many rude drivers in Melbourne these past few months. They just have this attitude that it's your fault they aren't making much money off the trip.

    • Similar experience here.
I left the driver a message to explain I was on the South side of the Highway, and you can't cross the median strip, so he would need to turn off and then drive around the block and I would be in the hotel carpark.
Instead he pulled over on the north side about 500m up the road, called me and expected me to cross 6 lanes of traffic while carrying two bags.

'Sorry. No driver currently available. Please try again later.'

for real? on sydney busy street at station

  • Takes only $10 off a $11.40 trip in Adelaide

    • Just took it - paid $1.10 for a $21.10 trip.. I'm located in Adelaide as well.

  • Doesn't work in WA.
I never claimed any of the free rides but it still comes back with 'invalid promo code'

    • Seems like DiDi removed the Western Australian code for Perth residents. Unlucky.. I will go update that.

      • +1

Probably from people with 4 accounts taking 4 free trips a day. Or 2 long trips in stages.
