Time for a New Laptop Recommendations? Budget - $3000 Ish

Hi All,

Hope someone might be able to help me out as I haven't found a deal I was happy with yet. I've been on the look out to replace my laptop of 5 years with something more powerful that will hopefully last me just as long. Will use it for work and gaming.

Ideally I would love something with a RTX 4080 or RTX 4090 ( I know 4090 may be out of reach)

My budget is around $3000 and was hoping to get as good a machine as possible for that price. Saw a couple of deals on here but wasn't fast enough to make my mind up and they were gone or others were out of date / sold out.

My current laptop is quite bulky so I don't mind if the new one is large also as I'm used to it now. Not really got a space for a fixed workstation so like the laptop option best even if it is large.

Hoping for something that will last me as long as possible again. Thanks!

      I dont have any other computer and am looking for something high end that will be as future prof as possible for a number of years I've been saving for a long time for it and with a tax rebate and the fact I can claim back on it as I will be using it for 3D rendering also means that while not exactly happy to spend that much that's what I'm thinking. More than happy to spend less!

    You next would also be bulky lol

    For $3k it is a hotplate more than a laptop. Why not get a desktop?

    I've been looking for similar but prefer better CPU than GPU for editing on the go and keep going back to the Lenovo Legion Pro 7i (pre built $2999 option) - i9-13900hx / 4070 / 32gb
