Stumbled on this from Timeout Sydney: To celebrate their third birthday, bubble tea-hawkers Chatime are giving away 9,000 free drinks across all stores in Australia – from 2.30pm, Wed Sep 19, each store will be giving away 200 free drinks.

To coincide with this bubbly birthday celebration, Chatime are opening their new flagship store in the QVB, which will also host extra celebrations – including a Mad Hatter's Tea Party with "live tea cocktail flair performances". We're not super sure what that is, but sounds pretty darn cool.

So don't miss your chance to grab a free drink!

NOTE: Acording the the instructions on Chatime website (from deal link), requires a bit more effort (see steps 1-4) and not sure if you have to buy a drink first to take to be in your checkin picture, or just the store, or what? Expect crazyness!

Stores are in NSW (mainly), Qld, Vic and SA - sorry other States/Territories!

Edit: Went searching on their FB page and found an answer to the buy drink/picture/free conundrum: Chatime Australia No! You don't need to buy drink to receive free drink! Just take a photo with any thing related to Chatime. E.g. Chatime signage in-store, Chatime menu or even a empty Chatime cup. And remember to post it on Facebook or Instagram to redeem your drink and also for your chance to win 1 of 6 LOMO cameras as well.

    I prefer Easyway over chatime. The taste of black Pearl topping is yuck, stinky and yeww. Easyway is much better.

    Zero queue at Macquarie Centre, but seems like no choice. Was given Apple green tea (small size). Two others in front got the same as well. Dang. was looking forward to Pearl Milk Tea, or even trying their new "Tropical" selection. Guess not for free. On the plus side, was quick.
