I have an allowance of $100 per month, need a bill to prove expenditure, and want a new iPhone 15 Pro. I have an iPhone 12Pro I can use to trade if it helps but having trouble picking the best deal out there. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
I Want to Buy a New iPhone 15 Pro, Work Will Pay $100 a Month, What Is My Cheapest Option?
Comments
That makes sense. Cheers.
simply don't spend that amount of money on a phone because it has a fruit logo.
OK but what if they spend the money because iOS and the device itself is far superior than any Android device? With unparalleled security, device integration, and interoperability? With virtually no bloatware or malicious app tracking? For the superior family-sharing features? Trustworthy purchasing ability? Apple CarPlay? Resale value, unlike Android devices which may as well be a brand new car losing half it's value once the box is opened? How about a device that actually receives OS and security updates for at least five years? Not to mention the class-leading aftercare support, where you can walk right in to an Apple store with a hardware fault and get the device replaced on the spot?
Exactly, iPhone are so innovative, did you know they now have USB C Charging!!!! such innovation. if only android had not thought of this 5 years ago!!
lol that's the best you can do, huh? A dig at USB-C integration? Grasping at straws, as is modus-operandi for Android babies.
@ThithLord: nah that was just the latest chance, android is always about 3-5 years ahead of iphone
@redfox1200: Android has better security services than an Apple device, does it? Android devices come without bloatware, do they? Android devices don't halve, and then halve again in resale value every month after use? Android devices get OS and Security updates for 5+ years? Android devices don't completely sell all your usage data? You can walk into any Samsung/ASUS or w/e shop and pick up a replacement device on the spot if you have any hardware issues?
@ThithLord: IPhone don't purposely slow down their system, so you have to upgrade do they? IPhone don't let you customise anything do they? IPhone don't overcharge by an extreme amount do they? IPhone innovate and totally don't just copy Android do they?
Depends if you want a device thats good as a fone, or a device that is a trendy fashion statement that does all sorts of shit that many people don't ever use.
@pharkurnell: Sometimes people want a phone they don't have to spend time managing it's affairs as if it's a freaking PC.
@ThithLord: agree… Thats what I dont understand iSheep.
EU requirement!
Calm down Tim
Hi ChatGPT, please write me a five part essay on why it's totally NOT dorky to care about other peoples hardware purchases. Specifically explain why it's totally not dorky to go to threads regarding Apple devices and cry like little babies because some people don't buy Android devices.
@ThithLord: I don't think anyone cares that people aren't buying an android phone. It's that people get so excited about a $2500 (😲) phone that's almost the same as last year's, while apple pretend that stuff that's has been done for years and years (USB C and "active island" is whatever it's called), are groundbreaking tech. Meanwhile the $1500 base model (😬) still has a 60hz display and no always on display. If they were half the price they'd probably be priced about right.
@brendanm: How did you interpret everything you said, after old mate said this:
simply don't spend that amount of money on a phone because it has a fruit logo.
Came into an Apple thread to have a cry about Apple users. Literally find me ANY thread on an Android device where Apple babies are first to comment with some inane comment?

Show your workings. Where on OzB? Actually, show me on the internet if it's so prevelant? The same sheep comments turn up every time there's a new iPhone - patently ignoring that majority of iPhone users use their devices for at least 3 years, if not longer. Android babies entire argument is there's no difference between this year/last year iPhone, but if your iPhone is at least two or three years previous generation, the newest iPhone would be a vast improvement.
The fact of the matter is, for people like AKA Rolls/DGrayson, they're obsessed with Apple users and their purchases.
@ThithLord: Yeah I'm not sure about all that, people just seem to get all frothed up over every single apple release. I'm still using my pixel 5 which I got for $0 (thanks for being useless Telstra), and have no desire to get anything unless this sadly died. Still getting updates, it still goes like a champ. The day I pay anywhere near $2500 for a phone that does basically the same thing as something a third of the cost, will be a cold day in hell. This also goes for stupid things like galaxy fold etc.

Yeah, nah. Just being entertained by the fruit fan bois losing it when anyone criticizes the fruity phone.
@DashCam AKA Rolts: But how is that possible, every year the new iPhone is revolutionary?!
@brendanm: ¯_(ツ)_/¯
actually spat my coffee out, rofl
you my friend are a different breed
you my friend are a different breed
Mate, you're not even the first person to tell me that today
(nerd emoji)
Obvious bait is obvious
unparalleled… interoperability
You'll know once you experience it.

Woah, I didn't even think about what a Swifty would use!
@ThithLord: I would take much notice of anyone who records a concert on their phone to be honest. It's a blight on society.
That’s a good summary of iphone and Apple products in general. I know the post will stir up Apple-haters and general Android and Linux users. I think they fall into one or more of the following categories:
1) They have never owned any Apple devices.
2) They have owned Apple devices but not spent enough time with them.
3) They are so set in their minds that the only right way is the open source and the Android and Linux way. Don’t get me wrong, all those things are great but there are also other ways in doing things.
4) They probably don’t realise that Apple actually supports iphones longer than Android.
5) They probably have no idea what is iMessage, Facetime, Airdrop… Refer to 1) and 2).iPhone was innovative some 12 years ago.
Since Apple Co-Founder Steve Jobbs passed away they have been copy - copy - copy
Can this forum give it a rest with the stupid 'don't get thing X because it's cheapest if you buy nothing'.
Someone asks for advice and all the regulars are smartasses.
Otherwise take up a mobile plan for $100 or less that includes a new iPhone 15
Viola!
JB Hi Fi $99/mo with $1200 gift cards and then trade in your 12 pro should get you to basically zero upfront cost with $99 payments for 24 months
Came to suggest this
why do you need an iphone, seriously, is your current phone broken?
Its dusty.. needs replacing. And all my friends (both of them) have 14s - I must out do them.
Just order it on a plan then there’s no disputes?
yep order it with a plan where you add in $10 extra or go for cheapest plan within likes of voda or optus.

hahahahahahahah
"My Dream"It's actually a religion at that point. Insane.
Went the JB Telstra $99 300GB 24 month plan, with a $1200 JB Voucher and $500 trade in , plus Voucher at 15% off for balance, wound up a pretty good way to do it. Cheers all for the advice.
Cheapest option, simply don't spend that amount of money on a phone because it has a fruit logo.
