Hotstar Disney Plus Streaming Issues - Any Working VPNs or DNS Services?

I had been using SmartDNSProxy to stream Hotstar Disney Plus for a few years. It was reliable to an extent but lately they have not been able to resolve buffering issue while streaming Hotstar. The streaming is also a hit or miss and their service has become unreliable. They acknowledged the issue and said they are working to resolve for the last 5 odd months.

With the new law introduced by the Indian Government, many VPN providers are pulling out their physical servers from India.

Don't know if anyone has been using this streaming service successfully? If so, which service are you using and have they experienced any issues lately?

    I used surfshark to watch coffee with karan on hotstar, although not recently. Generally only when the guest is interesting enough. Had no issues, but that would have been a year or so ago.

    Getflix works for me, even the 4K contents. The only issue is with the live sports streaming. I gets a message around GeoBlocking for Live Sports Stream, but movies and other works fine.
    I think, getflix and smartDnsProxy are same company.

    Been using smartdnsproxy for 3 years. Works like a charm for all other services, but Hotstar is usually shit. Struggles to play HD, forget 4k.

      Had issues with US Netflix initially but not anymore but Hotstart was working okay with a few tries but lately it is useless

    I have tried so far -
    1. ExpressVPN - hotstar general content works fantastic, live sports and highlights don't work at all with NM-4740 error on android
    2. Surfshark - hotstar general content works fantastic, live sports had NM-4740 issue in the past, started working for sometime now doesn't work with buffering ring shown for infinite time
    3. NordVPN (before announcement, now no more India servers) - It used to work for hotstar general content, but no more India servers
    4. IvacyVPN - hotstar general content as well as live sports work, but all with wonky feeds. Forget HD/4K, even 144p would not work smooth for live sports. Only positive they say is it works, doesn't throw error. As per their support, it should work smooth.
    5. Getflix - It works but hit and miss. Also, very bad quality. Speeds are shit during live events going below 500Kbps.
    6. SmartDNSproxy (which is same as Getflix actually) - Same as above

    Please do let me know if anyone tried something else. Also, please do keep me posted if someone finally got something to work for watching World Cup in 4K streaming.

    raised a support ticket with getflix and got the following answer

    ''Thank you for the mail.
    We are already aware of the said issue and our Network Team is already working on it.
    We don't have any time frame for the resolution of this issue yet. We will keep you posted via email.
    We apologize for the inconvenience.''

    ExpressVPN should work.. They have virtual Indian servers.. I have tried once

    NordVPN recently added Indian virtual servers but they’re slow and Hotstar blocks saying VPN is active, did anyone else find a workaround using dns changes
