  • Have heard mixed reviews, but I guess for the game it is, and for that price - if you haven't played it before, it's probably a good deal.

  • Wish there was a price drop for the PS Vita (ie PSOne) version also.

    • When they first released them on the Vita, they were selling them for $8.45, so I think you may need to wait for the next sale =/

    • It's $9.99 on the US PSN store. The NTSC version is actually better, as it runs faster and does not of the black bars of the PAL version

I know everyone says VII is the best. But give some love for VIII here.

      What about VI?

      • +3

        My favourite was always X.

    • VIII had a great story line, but i really hated the drawing system >.> spent like hours to get 3 stacks of ultimate

    • i really liked IX.

    • Yeah, VIII is the game that got me into FF. Loved that thing. But I agree the drawing system sucked when you were trying to min/max and get full stacks of the best magics.

  • Are the graphics updated from the old PS1 version?

    • no.
(but there's acheivments and cloud saving)

Isn't the objective to save the world, not the main character?

  • hope this is the pre patched one or else nightmare to get it up running

  • IT noob here.. Do I need a fast PC to run this game? I have a peasy laptop and is going to buy a PC but is not sure what configuration to get….

    • even a basic 3 year old laptop should get this going provided you got the drivers updated.

  • wtb Steam version.

  • Anyone found a way to buy it in US $, its currently $9.99 US. Would love an ozbargain to find that :P

    • VPN.

  • Is this International version?

    • +1

International version of FF7 was in Japanese. Unlike 10 and onwards which had english voice. But FF7 has no voice anyway. But International version is just the Japanese version with japanese text but they added the small tweaks that the English version got, such as Underwater materia.

I'd go with the PS1 or PSN version. The music on the PC version is abysmal.

  • If you are a Final Fantasy VII fan, you should also take a look at this…

No offence but VII is way overrated. Best one by far was VI and then XII

    • Offence taken.

  • You should definitely try the Character Booster haha. Makes the game ridiculously easy and that's being nice

    • The game was easy enough without it that if you need it, you have to be a grandma.

Join Final Attack with Phoenix and you can never see a Game Over screen.

  • 15 years down the road and game is still retailing - epic game.
on par with age of empires (which, btw, is still retailing hahaha)
