1000+ Rock Band Songs 50% Off for PS3, 360 & Wii

190

Can you believe that it's been nearly five years since Rock Band and its host of peripherals was first launched? Can you also believe that every week since then, Harmonix has continued to support the series with weekly song releases? With over 250 weeks of DLC launches behind them, Harmonix figured it was time to celebrate with a week-long sale on over 1000 pieces of DLC.

Yes, folks, you read that right. Over 1000 pieces of DLC.

We normally take the time to link you up to all the tracks that will be on sale, all of which are compatible with Rock Band 3 and the newly-launched Rock Band Blitz and many of which are compatible with other Rock Band titles, but that would frankly be an all day undertaking. Thankfully, Harmonix has provided a handy list of all the available singles and track packs covering artists from A Day to Remember to Yngwie Malmsteen.

  • Must… resist…

I only ever seem to play Rockband twice a year, but it's worth dusting off all that plastic every time.

This is probably a good deal if you've just bought the Rockband Blitz as well.

  • Can't remember the last time I played Rock Band but some of these songs are too hard to resist. Wouldn't mind getting the guitar out again and having a bash.

  • Yeah I haven't touched Rock Band in a while either but looks like I'm getting the wallet and guitar out again. Does anyone know if the prices will be similar for the Australian store?

    • On Xbox 360, where they've previously had (much smaller) DLC sales, the same sale has applied here. I anticipate all singles will be 80 MSP, down from 160 MSP.

However, while 80 MSP = $1 USD, it is a little more in AUD, so while the prices will be "the same" in MSP, like everything in the marketplace the weird conversion rates will distort it a bit.

  • ahh… wish I hadnt bought all those songs when they first came out… I already have everything I want

    • Don't worry. No doubt you've got your money's worth out of them.

  • +1

Disappointed there's only ONE! A Day to Remember song. Still decent though.

  • I'm still waiting for the game+keyboard to come within my price range…

Haven't checked delivery, but can't see it getting a lot cheaper. The keyboard is not cheaply made, I expect it will get retired before being super cheap.

Other option is USB MIDI if you already have a keyboard.

      • +1

+1 to keyboard build. It's pretty darn sturdy for a music game peripheral, and even doubles as an external instrument as it has a MIDI out on it!

      • I got mine a while ago for about $35 delivered from memory. I ended up selling the game for $15 so cost me $20 all up.

  • I am going to be broke!

  • Gotta love Rockband. For those xbox folks I can vouch for this ebay listing.

4000 points for $38 not bad at all.

  • how do you get the discounT? I looked on rock band 3 ps3 store and songs were 2.45 each
