The Good Guys iPhone Purchase Woes

G'day guys

I'm just wondering if anyone is in a similar boat to myself and @ChingChong.

I got an email from the good guys on Friday night about store cash for an iPhone purchase, and ordered asap.
I got no email confirmation but saw the money immediately came out of my account.

Throughout Saturday and Sunday I chatted with support who promised resolutions within 2-3 hours fobbing it off to IT.

It's Monday night now with no order confirmation. I waited on hold. For over 2 hours today from 4pm onwards with no answer.

Has anyone ordered and received their confirmation?

    Next time, take a screen shot of the order confirmation. If you have the order number, it is traceable.

    • Thankfully I did that and have the Web order number. But that is not usable by anyone in store or on chat that I've come across. Though they have acknowledged that it's a legitimate order number.

          They ended up not getting my order in on release, so I refunded and went to jb anyway

    I remember someone complaining about this last year - didn’t receive their order and got bumped to the back of a queue. Pretty sure it was good guys

      I've done a charge back, so I'm not too worried.

      What a ridiculous situation though.

    No idea how good guys cash thing works. My freezer was meant to have $50 GG cash, but where is it? Do I need to join the club thing to claim? Nobody knows.

    • We had a product that came with Cashback a while ago and the credit was provided with the actual item at pickup.

  • From my experience with the good guys you just purchase in store. Their Website and Ebay stores are garbaage to deal with.
    I ordered an iphone a few years back with discount code and it took 1 month to be picked, packed and posted from Penrith to Belrose (website order)
    I also ordered a fridge on their ebay store, was promised for a sunday delivery and it appeared I was the last drop of the day, Supposedly the GPS Delivery scheduler crashed and the last 2 deliveries of the day were returned to the depot because the driver couldn't be bothered to ring the store and confirm the last 2 addresses.

    Ask for your money back and go to JB HiFi, they seem to get it right more often.
