Iron on Kids Clothing Labels

Has anyone bought iron on kids clothing labels that work well and last? Any that don't work well and fall off after a few washes? Thank you.

    • You label your undies with the day of the week?

        No, by month

    • Probably an easier method. I find they wiggle a lot when you have the iron near them.

I do multiple labels plus sharpie but yeah they always eventually come off especially if you do hot wash/ dryer

    • especially if you do hot wash/ dryer

      Care Instructions
Washing: Wash with a temperature setting below 15°F (65.56°C)

        below 15°F

        But that's -10°c

        • Good point. They should have written 150°F

Tattooing (names, numbers or bar-codes) is a better way of keeping track of who's who.

    • You'd still need matching iron on kids clothing labels to return the clothes to their owners 🤔

I've had both Hippo Blue and Tinyme and I find that the Tinyme ones last longer and iron on nicer (softer, cling on better).

However Hippo Blue sticky labels are better.

    • Could the iron on labels be stitched on as well? Or does the material of them not allow for it?

      • Not sure…it's not fabric. I feel like it might rip if sewn.

Someone mentioned stamps, we got some from Ali Express which have been OK too. A bit see through on thinner/lighter fabrics and doesn't work well for darks, but it's much easier than iron ons.

    • Hippo Blue also frequently does did (may have stopped since COVID/inflation) cheap / "free" (postage-only) sales. Not sure if Tinyme offers anything similar.

We've got a fabric stamp which has been working well so far. Clothes have been through multiple washes with no sign of fading.

Work well in that you need to check what the cloths are made out of BEFORE you get the iron anywhere near any cloths.
As for last, it;s like how long is a piece of string in that it depends on a bunch of things.

Don’t waste your time with iron ons. You can get personalised fabric name stamps. So much easier to do and lasts very long. I got my son’s from Stuck On You.
