There are 4 to choose from , If you’ve been waiting for the right opportunity to stock up on whisky, now is that time: Four no-age-statement blended malts from London-based wine and spirits merchant, Berry Bros & Rudd have been dramatically reduced as part of a once-off importer’s clearance. Each is hand-blended by BBR’s spirits buyer, Doug McIvor, in collaboration with brand heritage director, Ronnie Cox. Says Cox, “The name Berry Bros & Rudd in connection with wine and spirits means liquid in a bottle which exudes ever-trustworthy quality and flavour; It was with these values that Dougie and I assembled this range – a hugely enjoyable task." He adds, "The resulting Classic range is a variety of top-quality blended malts not only delivering what they say on the label, but a “go-to” portfolio to suit a variety of palates and moods." Says McIvor, "For excellence, I look for balance and complexity, maturity and texture. Equally, age is not king; maturity counts for much more." The whiskies feature liquid sourced from Islay and Speyside and are all bottled at 44.2% delivering terrific value across the entire range.

Could add in a $6 liqueur for baking or a $9 wine I guess

  • Cheers, bought 2 bottles Islay and Peated. Should mention shipping costs of $15 to Syd. thanks

    • $20 to Newcastle…Kills the deal for me.

  • Anyone tried these before? Not widely reviewed…RRP seems high for unknown blended whisky.

Note these are blended malt (a blend of single malts) as opposed to blended whisky (much cheaper generally as is a bit of malt but mostly grain). Good value and worth a shot - especially with the 5% off code. Thanks OP & Benson!

BBR is a reputable independent bottler. I haven't tried these, but have many of their indy bottlings and am a fan of the Blue Hangar blend

  • Reviews on YouTube were only OK. Price is excellent though so getting 2x Islay
