Qatar Luggage 30kg One Case or More?

I’m flying with Qatar to London then a local flight within UK. My booking Is economy but convenience which is upgraded from 25kg to 30kg.

Does anyone know if my suitcase case is nowhere near 30kg and say on my return I wanted to take another bag or case back etc and take advantage of the 30kg. I may need to buy new luggage scales as I’m sure mine are playing up. Yet my case is pretty full. And just wanted to know if it has to be one case full max of f30kg or I can make up the difference with another bag or case etc.

I know I have hand luggage at 7kg I’m just curious on the checked in luggage.

    https://www.qatarairways.com/en/baggage/allowance.html

For routes where the baggage allowance is displayed by weight (flying from/to destinations other than Africa & the Americas), there is no limit on the number of pieces that can be checked in as long as the weight allowance for the total number of pieces is not exceeded. However, limitations may apply based on aircraft carrying capacity.

What an incredible site, perhaps op should have given it a try?

  • Above answer seems right.

Also just note that unless your UK local flight is on the same booking reference as the flight to London, it will have its own separate baggage allowance (which is likely to be significantly less).

    • My Qatar booking includes the local flight in uk even though it’s not same airline it’s all booked with Qatar.
So i believe whatever we are allowed with Qatar will be same with local airline.

So I am right that as I’m 30kg with Qatar then saying coming back I want to take extra back as long as my luggage being spit over two is ok as long as it’s not over 30kg in total.
      Just thinking ahead.
