Im currently rocking a Samsung Galaxy A5 2017 which I bought 2 years ago on eBay for $80. It works and is fine overall but the sluggishness has got too much lately. I only use phone to browse, call/text and take a few photos. My main bog down is brave browser with up to 10x tabs open. I want to upgrade to something a little better, a bit faster for as little money as possible. I will consider anything under $200 but prefer to pay under $120.

Maybe not for op, but just a PSA
I have the og pixel to use as photo back up.
Lineage os recently put out android 13 for this nifty phone.
Camera is still a beast.
If you flash the OG Pixel with Lineage OS, will you still get unlimited photo backup?

Been looking it up and I love the upgrade in every way except for the lack of 3.5mm port. I only use aux cables for audio between car and speaker. Still a contender but would be a pain and I would forget most of the time to carry around USB C to 3.5mmm adapter.
Just leave the adapter in the car?
Get a Bluetooth adaptor for the car?
Good points if I get 2 adapters leave one in car and the other in portable speaker. Okay I'm very close to buying. I can see on eBay around $150 gets me one.
Edit, just remembered headphones and other family members using the car…… WHY OH WHY would anyone think no audio port is a good idea….After some more digging it seems the Google pixel 3a does have an audio port but just not the "3" version.
Bit more but maybe from the refurb market, Note 10+ or S21 Ultra etc, can get around ~$300
Thanks for the suggestions people!! Purchased Google Pixel 3 for $133.38 @ eBay with coupon. Was using youtube to choose between Pixel 3 VS Google pixel 3a. The 3a has audio port BUT the combination of faster processor, waterproofing, dual selfie and front facing speakers on the Pixel 3 won me over. Also considering that the price of both phones were the same on eBay. At product launch however the Pixel 3 was double the price, not that that matters but hey. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sZrpjvpDehA
