Given this is labelled “A100 Pro” which is the Chinese model designation, you will probably have to use the Chinese server in the App.

The international model sold is the “A100 Zigbee”.

    • Good pick up. You won't be able to manage codes remotely with this model. Apparently you can lock and unlock remotely using HomeKit, but it requires a Bluetooth homekit hub like an Apple TV or HomePod.

  • That looks fun for people to install!

The lock body won't fit in place of an Australian mortice lock (and probably not fire rated so no good for any apartment building)..

  • Big job indeed. Be prepared to pay $650 for a locksmith to install it.

And you are stuck with mortise lock should you decide to change the lock in future… otherwise you would need to replace the door.

    • I found a locksmith reccomended on here a few years ago. He installed the original Aqara Smart Lock for $250.

  • it's 1234 works every time

  • I have the international one of these. Our door already had a mortice lock, so this was a very quick changeover process for us.

Unfortunately the Zigbee stack in it is bullshit. It doesn’t work directly with anything else in the Zigbee ecosystem except the Tuya-branded hubs, and the functionality is minimal at best.

Ours turned into an expensive pin-code lock. In hindsight I’m fine with where we ended up but I could have gotten the same result much cheaper.

If you don’t need a mortice lock I highly recommend the Lockwood T-Lock, which is a Zigbee deadlock replacement. Works flawlessly and requires no direct internet connection.

  • can anyone recommend a drop in replacement mortice style smart lock? I was leaning toward this lock (but the AU version) but not keen on the amount of mods required to fit and the comments don't seem great.

    • I have the AU version of this and it’s fantastic. Super happy with it for 6months. I did have a mortise lock prior but even then this was not drop in. I had to get a smart lock locksmith to install it for $300.

I really doubt any mortise lock will be an isntndy drop in replacement. There will probably be some minor variations here and there.

      • Thanks for the feedback. I really like the look of it and love the idea of homekit integration. I suspect you are right about a drop in replacement, atleast thats what I have found from my limited research. Where did you buy the AU version from?

        • they have Aus website. I contacted the support today to get some details of size etc. the CSR told me to contact a local locksmith if I’m not sure how to install…. Did the csr just mock me or I missed something?

          • @Capt0083: I haven't managed to find an install guide with dimensions. Keep coming across the "install" video and a very basic setup guide.

        • Just from JB Hifi. I too use it with HomeKit and it works perfectly. It also has one of the best and fastest fingerprint readers I’ve used.

    • Lockwood Cortex CTX3772 fits with an Aust mortice lock, and is fire rated which you need if it's on an apartment building (apartment entry doors are 1 hour rated from memory) https://www.lockweb.com.au/au/en/products/keyless-entry/cort…

Also the DormaKaba M5 which is as good, but probably a fair bit cheaper (Lockwood RRP is around $1300, this could be had for around $8-900) https://www.dormakaba.com/au-en/offering/products/electronic…

All depends if you want a quality product with Australian support, and confirm to Australian Standards, or not..

  • I installed one myself. Took whole day.

  • i am eyeing on this one from aliexpress,
but not sure if it will work with homeassistant and zha

has anyone got any experience by any chance with this zigbee lock?
