Well looks like Kogan has the HTC One V phone down even more. :D I think they used to be $259 or so.

Probably because of the Desire X coming out -

And people thought the Galaxy S3 was ugly. Specs aren't too terrible, given the price, but it isn't exactly attractive.
I think it looks great, especially in black. Classic HTC lines. No JB, but it does take 64gb SDXC cards which is nice
Ah, I didn't see the black one. The Beats Audio branding was my main turn-off, but I still think the grey one is fairly 'meh' in terms of looks.
It has a good personality.
And roots easily?
I'm sorry. I'll excuse myself now.
Galaxy S3 is flagship. It IS ugly. The One V is a low-end phone.
What does the fact that it's a flagship model have anything to do with anything? We're talking purely about aesthetics here. And I don't think the GS3 is ugly, I just don't love it.
'It IS ugly'.
Your subjective opinion.

Wish they'd start stocking the HTC One S.
I wonder what HTC will do when they run out of letters to use.
Start using extra letters and numbers… they already have a One XL. Guess they can have S2 or SL, etc. :p
True, but you have to wonder why they'd adopt such a naming system, when it has limited potential before it starts sounding ridiculous.
Or XXL then XXXL when they get to tablet size :-)
A plus 5 inch model with 1080p screen resolution is on its way. I think everyone will just be calling that 'Phenomenal'!!
IF this HTC is like its little sister - the ChaCha - I'd keep away from it; we haven't managed to find or get our ChaCha's "SIM network unlock PIN" (needed to open it to let us use our new LiveConnected.com.au service…)
PS OTOH, we -love- all the ChaCha can do -sans- SIM card… :-)
Fairly sure they're unlocked out of the box.
I thought this phone looked more like the HTC Legend.
Also, pretty sure your SIM network unlock pin is related to your previous/current network provider, not HTC or LC - pretty sure you've already been told that many times in other thread.
is this phone as good as the htc one x? (obvisouly its the version down but price wis is this just as good to get) and also does it have the track my phone feature or is that only specific to htc one x?
Depends.
If you just want an Android phone to do basic activities such as web browsing, calls, nothing out of the ordinary the HTC One V would be the perfect phone for you. I think the HTC One X is for people who use their phone a lot and is a phone that is more capable of doing out of the ordinary activities.
Tbh, the HTC One V is a very good phone for its price..
thanks :)
Its actually 2 steps down from a One X, as the One S is the middle model. But still a pretty good phone for the price.
I though this phone looked more like the HTC made Nexus One: 1GHz, 512MB
