I was wondering if any of you have used Coles Mobile without roaming when travelling overseas.
Do we still get incoming sms from banks / fin institutions for otp sms messages?
Travelling this weekend and the customer service folks aren't very helpful.
edit: The only other sim I have is amaysim but then I will have to call every bank and update my phone number with them.

I travelled earlier this year and was getting sms just fine with Coles Mobile.
you get incoming sms, also, you get an option to load $$$ and even make outgoing calls and use data in emergency

I have already purchased a Japan travel sim (which only covers data) but its for those unexpected transactions failing through when you are overseas.
Also a tip for others in my same boat - perhaps loading up Skype call may work out cheaper than loading up $$$
Confirm that Coles mobile incoming SMS works fine when overseas for free.
Forget Skype, WhatsApp is best for calling using data only sim

Both Coles Mobile and Amaysim will support incoming SMS while roaming without incurring any charges. I used both last week in New Zealand.
