Seiko SNE587P 'Night Vision' Prospex Divers Watch Sapphire Solar $559 ($539 with Signup) Delivered @ Watch Depot

150

Currently $639 at Starbuy.

I have the tortoise and speedy versions of this so don't really need it but I have 2 of these and they're a great size and have good specs. I think I'll wait to see if SB can beat it on the weekend

I have the tortoise and speedy versions

Of course you do, but do you have the Steeldive SD1970?

Wondering if it has better lume?

    • lol Idk because I'm overseas and got the speedy for $644 from DJs and haven't worn the tortoise. I have over 10 watches waiting for me at home.

I still haven't pulled the trigger on a Steeldive. I want this: https://www.davidjones.com/product/seiko-seiko-prospex-save-…

Please seek help for your watch buying addiction.

        • I told my shrink and he's cool with it, unless it affects me financially

        • +1

The shrink clearly gets SD1970 kickbacks from @rosebank. He probably has every colour by now! 😉😅

        • Worse habits around haha.
A watch you'll have for a long time at least.

Great looking watch, and solar, too. Cracker of a typo in their blurb: "The sapphire crystal face is encased by a one-way rotting bezel".

  • +1

    Nice watch and spec.
Is this the best black pvd for the price, something military looking (usually have all white markings on the bezel).

    • Is this the best black pvd for the price

Right now, I'd say yes. Easily.

      • +1

        it's a good looking watch.

Obviously there are a fair few more options around 1k, not many good pvd watches for $500 or less.

        • I like the Hamilton h64465733 (awesome brand heritage and movement, although poor lume, 50m WR no screw in crown, bad anti-reflection and leather strap).
        • Seiko 5 Field Specialist Automatic SRPG41 (cheaper option - $325 @ Starbuy)
        • Squale 500 meter Professional Swiss Automatic Dive

I kind of prefer solar quartz these days for more precision and ease of maintenance, setting day and date on an auto is a chore and wouldn't spend too much again as it requires servicing. Replacing a 4r would be easy enough with a generic Seiko movement if you had to.

i’m buying more solar and quartz, like the way they are ready go with correct time, battery wise, easily 4 years out of the quartz if i use good battery, and solar well no battery needed.

          • @garage sale: Agree, it makes a lot of sense and have about 5 solar / eco-drive/ solar G-Shock now. Got 3 normal Quartz. The autos don't get as much wear but if I buy any I prefer no date hand winds. Solar shouldn't have to worry about it for 10+ years and normal Quartz will change myself for a buck or two.

They keep better time too, funny thing is the Casio a158 is keeping Amazing time, and only 30$.

They don't get a PVD bracelet, but this one has to be up there:

        https://outlet.wallacebishop.com.au/products/08ssc761-seiko-…

        $660, 3500 units worldwide.

For a few more pennies, $770 to be exact, you can get an automatic. This one has the 6R movement which you don't often see at this price point, normally it woud be the 4R:

        https://outlet.wallacebishop.com.au/products/08pb125-seiko-p…

        They are from this collection:

If you prefer a tuna, for the same dollars as here, $542, you've got this:

        https://watchesgalore.com.au/products/seiko-prospex-solar-bl…

        • I have the tuna. That sumo looks good but i just bought this and I already have the blue chrono

        • You should be able to get Tunas solars for $300 max.

  • Damm….missed out - need to BMF and like the stealth

    • Seems to be back in stock

  • Back in stock just grabbed one.

  • Have you got this colour Bullhead =

    Citizen Bullhead AN3660-81X$229 delivered.

  • Sometime I wonder if watch depot has stock or just have a sh!t tonne of orders to get through. Paid extra for express postage but they say dispatched 1-4 days. Was only $4 and the prices are pretty sharp so doesn't really matter.

  • Anyone who purchased this have shipping confirmation? I’m still waiting and it’s been a week since i received order confirmation. Cheers

Mine has been delivered but I'm overseas

    • +1

      Yeah bloody nothing yet.

    • +1

Joke paying for express shipping, they must be getting it in from china or something.

Seems like you can still add to cart so can't see how they are out of stock.

  • Got an out of stock email. So disappointed

  • Same, complete waste of time and the refund will probably be just as slow!

Still $635 at Starbuy should have just got it from there and price claimed.
Not sure how much is too much for one of these.
