Cheap Thunderbolt 4 and USB4 cables. These are USBC-USBC. As a rule of thumb, Thunderbolt cables beat USB 4 cables anyday for most applications, but USB 4 will be the best for charging at 240W.

I've never seen a USB4 cable posted on OzB at this price before so unless someone can link it to me, I'm going to say it's an ATL for a USB4 cable on Amazon. Possibly the same for Thunderbolt 4 too.

Enjoy :)

ISP Notes RE Coupons

a. Make sure to collect the coupon by ticking the "Apply coupon" box before checkout. Alternatively, you can add the product to cart and tick the "Apply coupon" box there. If you DO NOT see the coupon box, the coupon allocation has been fully redeemed. There is no actual code to enter at checkout – you must collect the coupon before checkout.

b. DO NOT UNSELECT PROMOTIONAL CREDIT AT CHECKOUT. Make sure you leave the "Use your $xx Promotional credit" box ticked at checkout. Amazon considers all Coupon discounts and Prime Exclusive deal discounts as "promotional credit". Therefore, unselecting promotional credit as part of your payment method will cause Amazon to remove any Coupon or Prime Exclusive discounts and thus charge you full price. If the you have Amazon-issued promotional credit in your account and the item you are buying is:

  • (1) Sold and shipped by Amazon, then Amazon will first subtract any relevant coupon or Prime Exclusive discounts, then charge the remaining balance with your Amazon promotional credit. You must pay with the promotional credit you have in your account, otherwise unselecting this will reverse any applied discounts as per above. Here's an example screenshot, where you see the coupon discount is applied (i.e. Your Coupon Saving), as well as the Subscribe & Save discount, and the remaining balance payment is taken out of your Amazon-issued promotional credit (i.e. Courtesy Credit) to complete the order (in this case the Order Total comes up as $0.00 - unless this deal post says free otherwise, it doesn't mean your order is free as you are still using promo credit, something treated as cash). If you do not have enough Amazon-issued promotional credit, then the Order Total will be the remaining balance that you must pay with a Gift Card or Debit/Credit Card.

  • (2) Sold by a Third Party Seller on Amazon, then Amazon will first subtract any relevant coupon or Prime Exclusive discounts (i.e. Promotion(s) Applied under Order Summary // or check below and see Your Coupon Saving), then you must pay the remaining balance with a Gift Card or Debit/Credit Card. Here's an example screenshot where despite me having Amazon-issued promotional credit, Amazon is unable to apply that to the order because Amazon is unable to apply Amazon-issued promotional credit to orders sold by a Third Party Seller. This means that even if you kept the "Use your $xx Promotional credit" box ticked at checkout, the sole purpose is to obtain the discount while your Amazon-issued promotional credit will remain the same as Amazon will not be using this credit to pay for the order.

Amazon Coupon Instructions

How to redeem the coupon:

  1. Add the coupon to your Shopping Basket by clicking the “Collect this Coupon” button. Each coupon is only valid for a limited time or while stocks last. Once you have collected a coupon, the date by which you must redeem it (the ‘Expiry Date’) will be displayed on the coupon. You will usually have until 23:59 on the Expiry Date to redeem the coupon. Quantities are limited and collected coupons may expire before the Expiry Date.

  2. To redeem the coupon by making a one-off purchase:
    a. Add a Qualifying Item to your Shopping Basket by clicking the "Add to Basket" button.
    b. When you're done shopping, click the "Proceed to Checkout" button and place your order for the Qualifying Item.
    c. The coupon discount will be automatically applied at checkout, reducing the price of one Qualifying Item. If you checkout with more than one Qualifying Item in your basket, the discount will only apply to the cheapest Qualifying Item. If the discount has been applied successfully, it will appear on the final Checkout page.

  3. To redeem the coupon by starting a new Subscribe & Save subscription:

    b. The coupon discount will be automatically applied to the first delivery of your new Subscribe & Save subscription. If the discount has been applied successfully, it will appear in your subscription summary.

Thanks OP, bought one of each

  • I can't see that price after discount. $13.71 X .75 = $10.28

    • That's not how Amazon discounts work :)
Go to checkout and see the final price.

I really need to start my attitude of buy first, think later with amazon. I can always cancel/return what i dont need. haha

      • And just like that got one :)

Or WAIT 1st & $AVE if you do NOT NEED it now ;)

  • As a rule of thumb, Thunderbolt cables beat USB 4 cables anyday for most applications

    Why is that?

    • +1

I gave a quick Google search and every review or site seems to favour Thunderbolt 4 >> USB4

More practical uses due to the capabilities it has.

    • +1

USB-4 spec only requires minimum TB3 performance (20gbps per channel). While TB4 is 40gbps minimum.

It's somewhat like HDMI2.1 where the minimum spec is HDMI2.0 but 2.1 has all the extras like VRR/ALLM etc

  • How you know 15mins in particular

    • +2

When you put one in your cart, a message says you have 15 mins to check out to get it at that price. With a countdown timer.

    • +4

The way Amazon works for lightning deals is that once you add a deal to cart, the item is yours for 15 minutes and you have 15 minutes to check out. You take up one of the quantities the seller allocated for the deal, and no other customers can take your item. Failure to do so and that quantity gets released back to other customers (and your cart reverts to full price).

If you still wanted it, you'll have to add it to cart again and the cycle repeats.

The deal is fully expired when the listing does not have the lightning deal at all. As long as there is mention of a lightning deal (even at 100% claimed) the deal can come back for the above reasons.

Also what that person said ^

How can a tiny cable do 240w???

This doesn't make any sense to me, my rtx3080 only pulls around that wattage…

    someone explain to me please?

    • +2

Generally you don’t need thickness to do more power, just more amperage. Internal pc parts mostly run at 12v but I believe to get 200+ watts through the usb spec it goes to 48 volts

    • I’m probably paranoid, but I wouldn’t trust this to reliably conform to spec, especially if I was using it to charge an expensive Apple device.

  • -2

op - only 35 coupons? come on you can do more

    • +2

I wish it was unlimited for you all HAHAHA (sadly I'm not the seller).

  • Which cable is going to be compatible with iPhone 15 Pro Max ?

    • +5

Give me a week and I'll get back to you.

    • iPhone USB-C will be very limited so you can continue making Apple richer :(

      • +1

        What's the anticipated limitation, @taki?

    • Apple themselves

  • Back to full price

  • I bought the USB4 cable (buy now, think later) but I'm confused… is that also a Thunderbolt cable? Hard to tell if all those mentions of "for Thunderbolt" is just SEO.

EDIT: Quora answered it, I bought the USB4 40gb: A 40Gb/s USB4 cable is fully compatible with a Thunderbolt 4 cable, and vice versa. They both work with Thunderbolt 3, Thunderbolt 4, USB 2.0, USB 3.x, and USB4.
