  • How do these shape up against the $59 royal kludge keyboards from centrecom atm?
    https://www.centrecom.com.au/rk-royal-kludge-rk61p-wifibt-60…

    • The most obvious difference is that it's a 60% keyboard so it's quite smaller so that means less keys, space and smaller battery. That alone could be a dealbreaker for some.

      • What about the quality of the build and switches?

        • Hard to say since I don't own the Royal Kludge. They don't mention what switches they use. Ajazz switches are usually rebadged Outemu.

          • +2

@Clear: They're both shipping rebadged Outemu switches, to my knowledge.

A bit scratchy, from the red linear ones I tried.

  • Is this user pitching random deals with a referral bonus for himself?

    • +12

I'm not some random poster on OzBargain. WhatGeek is a sister site to GeekBuying and I've been associated with the latter since early 2015.

I receive no commission on sales for these deals. There's no referral links of any kind either.

  • Decent keyboard.

I preferred the Royal Kludge RK98 in some respects however that had terrible wireless and the switch for 2.4ghz, BT and wired is on the bottom of the keyboard rather where as the switch here is more convenient.

Note that the RGB keyboard software will throw up all sort of errors from AV software. It might be related to a module to sync RGB to music but they haven't updated it.

  • I wonder how this compares with the Akko 3098b that I have right now. Prelubed switches is attractive at this price point but if they're rebadged Outemus, lube wouldn't really solve the very large weighting tolerances I've experienced with them in the past. The keycaps also look terrible in the photos

    • Whatever fonts they chose for the keycap legends and the actual keyboard legends is ugly as hell. You can fix the former with new keycaps, but you can't really fix the latter.

  • https://www.amazon.com.au/JAZZ-HotSwappable-Bluetooth5-0-Mec… Not sure if these are different, but this is showing $85.99 for me + a 20% off coupon, should come down to $68-ish?

    • +1

Same keyboard I believe but no RGB

      • Ahh, I see. The RGB ones are furtherest right at $100+. Thanks for that.

    • Yep. You can grab it here for US$118.99 with coupon 15AK966

      • Sweet, thanks! Will Starry Night or Green Land be back in stock anytime soon?

        • No word on a restock for those yet.

  • Any deal for 75% keyboard

    • Take a look and if there's any you're interested in I'll find out.

  • Do any of them have quiet switches?
