Looks like they come with additional @ss and B@ll imprints. :)

Just imagine how bad a second hand “gamer” chair would be like. They would need to dispose of them as toxic waste.

      • Truly disgusting!

  • +2

These were posted last month for $200. Turns out that wasn't a bargain.

Wondering how much they'll be next month now?

    • Yes that is correct we sold all of that stock, we just had more stock arrive this morning- this is why i have made a new post- we currently the cheapest reseller in Australia.

      • +5

Why drop the price if you sold all the stock last time at $200?

        • +11

As all our products are sold by cost prices to us, if i can purchase them cheaper then i pass on the savings to our customers.

          • @[Deactivated]: wow…. totally different from coles ww and qantas that only care about profit! you guys are amazing and truly make the world a better place

My concern would be longevity if the mesh is already wearing.

    • -2

If you click on the picture it tells you mesh is wearing in the title. However, I suspect this isn’t a legitimate comment.

      • +1

There's no debate that the mesh is wearing. try2bhelpful is trying to be helpful by highlighting longevity concerns. You wouldn't want to spend near $200 for a chair to find it effectively breaks or creates issues/pains in a couple of months.

  • OP, how many in stock? I will buy all of them

I'm guessing these are all sourced from Covid WFH setups…..when nobody wore pants…. throughout multiple record hot summers….. without aircon. Looks like it really sealed in the flavours.

Question: If a chair was made in 2007, and an average person farts roughly 13-24 times per day, and they use the chair for at least one hour a day. How many farts would have passed through the chair?

        ChatGPT:

Calculating the number of farts that would have passed through a chair made in 2007, given the average number of times a person farts per day and assuming they use the chair for at least one hour a day, requires making some assumptions and approximations.

        Assumptions:

The chair is used for exactly one hour per day.
The person sits on the chair while farting.
The average number of farts per person per day is between 13 and 24 times.

Let's calculate based on the range of 13 to 24 farts per day:

Minimum farts per day: 13 farts
Maximum farts per day: 24 farts

        Average farts per day: (13 + 24) / 2 = 18.5 farts per day

Now, we need to calculate the number of farts per year:

Farts per year = Average farts per day * Days in a year

Assuming there are approximately 365 days in a year:

        Farts per year = 18.5 farts/day * 365 days/year ≈ 6,752.5 farts/year

Now, let's calculate the number of farts that would have passed through the chair since 2007 (assuming the chair has been used every day since then):

Number of years since 2007 = 2023 (current year) - 2007 (year the chair was made) = 16 years

Total farts passed through the chair = Farts per year * Number of years

        Total farts passed through the chair = 6,752.5 farts/year * 16 years ≈ 108,040 farts

So, approximately 108,040 farts would have passed through the chair since it was made in 2007, assuming the chair has been used for at least one hour a day and people fart an average of 13 to 24 times per day.

        • +1

The folly of not checking ChatGPTs calculations. It didn't include the 1 hour per day of sitting into the calculation.

ChatGPT is actually surprisingly bad at calculations for all of the things it is good at.

          • @EBC: My bad for relying on this highly advanced AI. I had to prompt ChatGPT many times to get to a proper answer:

            ChatGPT:

To calculate the total number of farts that would pass through the chair over 16 years, with 0.7708 farts per hour of use for 1 hour per day, you can use the following calculation:

Total farts over 16 years = Farts per hour * Hours of use per year * Number of years

            Farts per hour = 0.7708 farts/hour
            Hours of use per year = 1 hour/day * 365 days/year = 365 hours/year
Number of years = 16 years

            Total farts over 16 years = 0.7708 farts/hour * 365 hours/year * 16 years ≈ 4,724.96 farts

So, approximately 4,724.96 farts would pass through the chair over the course of 16 years, assuming it is used for 1 hour per day and the average number of farts per day is 18.5.

What's with all the negative comments, these are legitimately $750 new. A little bit of alcohol, vinegar and elbow grease and it should serve you well.

    • -1

sorry second hand chairs that look that bad and are that old that it doesnt matter how much they are new… its incomparable

i bought a sofa in 2007 it cost me $3000 it was a king for 2 now new its $7500 per lounge thats the common sense your asking us to believe…
if you are then you can buy a plethora of chairs on the market for the same or less regardless of the name new.

      • +2

that was hard to read, I didnt understand analogy hahaha

    • Where are you finding a brand new Mirra 1 for $750? These used chairs are 15 years old. The mesh likely needs replacement, that's an easy $350 for that part alone.

    • Lol how could you compare a new chair with a 16 year old office chair that is clearly stained and worn heavily, where the mesh used to provide support has deteriorated and would no longer be functioning as designed.
The lifespan of an office chair is not indefinite.

    • The mesh material is beyond elbow and grease to bring it back. It’s no longer a functional item as intended.

  • Good price but a word of warning for anyone who finds even a tiny hole or thinning wear it will probably completely tear very soon. I bought about 6 of these chairs for family from Gumtree from a office liquidation and the ones that had any tiny imperfections on the mesh tore very soon after. It's about $350 for a new mesh seat.

Mirra 1 is know for mesh issues with the foams tend to be disintegrating, also reeks of smell especially if it’s an old equipment. How I know? I got a refurbished Mirra 1 and it was not pleasant.

The unit was dated back to 1999, saggy mesh, stinks of cigarette smell. Imagine all the asses been on it since ‘99. It was definitely not a good purchase as you can find better support chairs at $200.

    Pros: none
    Cons: everything.

  • +2

At that condition I would not even consider if they are free.
Waste of time and money to dump them.

  • ew

  • Dear lord look at those fart stains…

  • Dude you gotta get a new picture. Pretty sure that is the same shitty pic as last month

  • People buy these for $180, you can't be serious?
Those of us who work in offices know exactly how many arses, farts, sweat from disgusting people is embedded in them. I don't care what cleaning claims are being made.
