Citizen Promaster BN0166-01L "Unite with Blue" Diver Watch $479, Seiko SRPE39K "Manta Ray" Turtle $479 Delivered @ Watch Depot

170

Here it is again, but $20 cheaper than the last deal if you were dithering and missed out. This price, $479, definitely a historical low at this point.

Citizen describing what makes the dial and watch construction unique:

Or this review or this review

It's a limited edition - albeit limited to 7000 units worldwide so not ultra-scare, but nevertheless it is starting to disappear from stock around the world.

Standard Citizen promaster diver specs:
- 200m WR
- mineral crystal
- eco-drive
- etc etc, just see the Citizen link above for the full spiel.

Seiko SRPE39K "Save The Ocean" Manta Ray King Turtle, $479, another $20 cheaper than the Starbuy deal here.
https://www.watchdepot.com.au/products/seiko-prospex-srpe39k…
Nicer than the newer Dark Manta IMO.
-200m WR
- Auto movement
- Sapphire crystal
- Speccy blue dial featuring manta rays doing their thing in the ocean.

Also available is the Seiko SNJ033P"silver Arnie", which at $579 beats the last Starbuy sale price by $20 as well.

Watch Depot sale is for the next two days (5 & 6 Sept).

There could be more in their list as well, I'll leave it as an exercise to the reader to uncover any more worthwhile mentions.

    What a beauty!

Hundred bucks less, turtle-style (tortoise) case, sapphire crystal, 200WR and 4R35 auto movement, $399 at Shiels. If you like the brown and rose gold, not exactly subtle.

It's $479 delivered at Watch Depot too.

Wow bargain, AJ should add it to the title.

Can vouch for this watch, Rosebank and I have it.. great choice.

  • It's not my style, but I also spotted this one on there, considerably cheaper than anywhere else I could find. Seiko Premier Kinetic SNP166P1 Perpetual Calendar:

    https://www.watchdepot.com.au/products/seiko-premier-kinetic…

100m WR, sapphire crystal, perpetual calendar

The Seiko Kinetics are a slightly different beast: quartz movement, but recharged by motion of the watch similar to an automatic. A full charge lasts six months, but a power save function will put the watch to sleep and maintain its settings for up to four years if it isn't touched.

These are down to $389 in the starbuy weekend sale.

I paid $445 so I'll have to put in a 28d price protection claim.
Great price for anyone wanting one.

      Yes excellent. Cheers.

    • Limited* edition too, once it's gone it's gone. May the fomo be with you.

      *ish

      • For the sake of $10 I'd recommend getting it from starbuy. Much faster service.
